Just wondering if you have/will trade in your copy. Please post your reason. Lets give some feed back and maybe learn something....

I voted no to trading my copy in. However, if things aren't addressed or design issues backed up then I'm going to move on to something else and Brink will become another "Homefront" I hope thats not the case.

I'm trading it in no later than Monday.

As for info..I could care less what they say, its what they do.

For DLC...unless this game comes out with DLC that either includes Objective based TDM modes...or maps that double what they currently have...I'm not at all interested.

For a game advertising Teamwork...its more of a game focusing on patience in dealing with bots...which I have none.

I don't see any problems personally as a PC user, short from the sound cutting off, thus there's also nothing to want to hear about from SD (although I was happy to hear about free DLC), thus there's also no reason for me to get rid of the game (not like I even could).

Well I bought it for PC, so I couldn't trade it in even if I wanted to. Good thing I don't.

Since the DLC has been announced I haven't seen much communication.

I will wait for the DLC, whatever it is. It's free, and I'm enjoying the game, so it's a win-win.

Im keeping it, I even got it on 360 and Im keeping it, because I do enjoy the game.
Nowhere near enough info from Beth/SD.
Waiting to see what this patch does and then will probly play when the DLC comes out, but if the 360 version remains in its current state or even close to it, I will get bored of it and go back to Halo Reach and Killzone 3.

I check these boards everyday hoping to see an update from SD. I still have my unopened PS3 copy. I'm really hoping for something to happen soon or else I'll have to return it

I did think about trading in for L.A Noire but i like the game and i think i'd regret trading it in. I think S.D could be a bit more active with the community though.

They definitely should have more of a presence to at least touch base with the community. It only takes a few minutes to post. The thing that usually hampers developer interaction with the players is the backlash that happens because of misinterpreted posts and quotes, which seems to be happening a lot these days.

I'm enjoyin Brink. I can't lie after the first week I was very frustrated and trading it in did cross my mind. Now that the lag has gotten to a bareable level and I get the occasional lag free game with a bunch of humans the game is a lot of fun.

I don't have anything games on my docket for a few months and I really want to see what the patch will do and the DLC of course.

This. It's not as bad as Homefront, but it needs work.

FYI... just so everyone knows, this is not a hate thread, just looking for some info, as I see LOTS of people dumping their copy. The Two EB Games near me have LOTS of used copies. Trust me when I say, I want this game to be successful :). Its the only game I have played since it was released, even with all the issues. ME LIKE!!!

I havn't traded a game in years, I'm a collector. So If I buy a game that means I put great faith and research into the game. I did get stuck with a couple of titles I didn't really care for (atm), I doubt Brink will be one of them.

Likewise, though I'm starting to get sick of it...I really can't see myself putting in as much time to this as Bad Company 2...

I got it for the 360. Lag needs to be fixed, being able to use my character needs to be fixed(i shouldn't have to play as some random char i didn't create) and last but not least, the friendly bots on solo campaign need to be tweaked. I havn't had the erge to play the last couple of days cuz of this. I'll wait to see what the patch does before i make my decision about keeping the game. Devs need to respond soon, there's only so much longer we'll wait.

First, there is no "community" yet to speak of. The game just released, and it takes some time for the initial buyers to distill into a "community." Second, as a PC gamer, I dont see the "community dropping like flies," rather I see more and more people coming to Brink. Just in the last two days my gaming clan has had three more people buy Brink, and they are all enjoying the game.

Do we really need all these "the sky is falling" posts and polls? No, I dont think so.

i hope all the people who do not like the game sell it and leave the forums cause then we can actually have the forums doing what they should do discuss and try to make the game better not suggest Cod ideas (just NO) and whin about everything (exception bots) :toughninja:

I don't think that has ever happened for any game, ever.

Couple of points...
I don't hate the game... I actually love it. Fixing the game crippling bugs (esp. consoles) do make the game better. And the bots are only an issue (to me) because I can't play online. As for COD... I don't want any COD changes. Infact I don't believe I asked for any changes to gameplay. This is just to gather info. I also stated that this was not a hate thread, we don't need anymore of those.

I really love this game. I play on console and I get minimal lag. I want this game to grow and hopefully it doesn't die. I'm loving it so far!

I think it's a great game, even with it's flaws. You haters are just total perfectionists who have issues with the SMALLEST of problems.
Sure there are big issues that get in the way, so what?

Honestly, if you're going to trade it in, then go do so and stay silent, there is nothing to be proud of and you'll only annoy people who love the game.

It has hope
-Lag Needs to be fully 8 Vs 8 fixed
-Private matches need to work
-More maps that use more parkour (Snow maps look epic)
-More weapons/Challenges
And that's what I'm hoping for in the new updates

I've been playing online now for 2 days on PS3.
Can't say I'm too happy with this and I'm afraid this game is gonna die soooo fast. I love it but it's not gonna stay alive like this.
Got to join 4 times until I get a match with other players in it.
When that finally works it's the same scenario over and over again. 4 vs 4, one team get stuck in one of the million chokepoints in this game, so everybody joins the winning team. I end up playing against 7 humans..
You should not be able to switch teams during a match!
Also way too much lag, this is ridiculous. Ever heard of MAG? I've never ever played another game so laggy as Brink.
Should have had a public beta and delayed until September or something.

It's a sad thing because this game has so much potential. Unfortunately the game has been butchered by the media so not a lot of people are convinced to buy this game.
Even if they do I completely understand that they return the game or whatnot. If I didn't know this game and what it was all about I would have the same feeling (as in "double wtf?")
I'm going to keep playing and hoping SD will fix everything that's broken, but I'm pretty sure the community will drop like flies (as said).
The game just released and I find oh so few matches with human players.. :sadvaultboy:
