[PC] "The connection to your opponent has been lost"

you want your router in the DMZ if you are having issues and you think they are on your end. The downside is that your router is wide open for outgoing as well as incoming traffic.

DMZ= Demilitarized zone

I used to have this problem and it doesn't seem to happen if you try the quick match option. Try this and see if you still get disconnected. There have been a few posts about this before by the way.

I got the same problem, the game is unplayable this way..

BUT I have a potential, momentary fix:

it seems that when playing in a group (or squad, I don't know, my game is italian xD) the game won't disconnect you. It works when a friend of yours is the leader and he chooses the servers to join, this way I'm able to play..

CRYSIS 2, Everytime I play multiplayer, it starts fine and I get between 1 minute and 10 minutes play. Suddenly the screen will go black for a few seconds and then I get the message " The connection to your opponent has been lost. You've been signed out." Then it goes all the way back to the initial log in screen. I AM NOT HAPPY!! The multiplayer demo was fine, no issues. The campaign was fine, no issues. S why do I get this everytime I try and play a multiplayer game??
I have 50meg broadband with an ethernet cable straight to fibre optic through Virgin Media. Have tried it with Firewall on and off, both the same.
I have Q6600, 4G of memory, GTX280 1G graphics... Should work a treat! It does on Campaign?
Do not have any issues with any other games.

Polish? Wow, thats helpful.

And about the problem:

I have the dir-300 router. I've forwarded all crysis-related ports i was able to find in google, checked DMZ (it's disabled by default). Also i've made rules for all crysis executables in windows firewall.
And guess what? Not even a bit of difference. If i'm lucky i can play a map or two without being signed out. If not... You know what happens.

PS. AND THANK YOU CRYTEK FOR OFFICIAL RESPONSE IN THIS THREAD. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I keep having the same problem... One might think thats because of a slow broadband connection, but with many, I literally mean MANY are having this issue, and its not because of Open ports, Firewall, Anti-virus, heck while all of us that are having this issue, are still trying to find solutions to fix this, doing most of crytek's work and then posting them on these forums to help each other, when crytek just ran away with everyones money... what a joker...

Before some of the twats in this forum think I have a slow connection, FYI my FibreOptic broadband download speed is 50.40mbps and upload is 1.6mbps.

I have played plenty of games online, no issues whatsoever as this is the ONLY game that me and several 1000's of people are having the exact same issue.

Heck, when I spoke with a couple people from EA Support, one they try to get rid of you asap and instead of answering the questions I asked, they start talking rubish telling me to take other actions that has nothing to do with the issue I initially reported, its like talking with a stupid kid who thinks that knows everything but in fact knows nothing regarding the topic, more like a hypocrite.

Bear in mind that I DO NOT CHEAT nor do I mix up with cheaters... I purchased this game like everybody else and own a legit key.

Well, after i turn DMZ ON on my main router it seem to work. I've played several round so far and looks like it's fixed, but this is still issue. Why do i have to put my pc open to play a game? I had no problems like this in any other games.

Have the same bloody issue, except it's with a non-steam version. Don't why it does it, maybe the game doesn't like the fact that I've bought it? Demo did work brilliantly but now the multiplayer just doesn't want to know. My router and internet are fine as other online games are going well. So what the hell is going on?

I tried all the options, Open ports, Disabling Eset Firewall in Windows, Disabling Anti-virus, Enabling DMZ in the Router with my PC IP Address, nothing worked... This isnt a fault with our systems, but instead with crytek's messed up multi-player game and its servers.

It could be that due to too much security that they implemented due to those F****** cheaters that its backfiring at all players including US Legit Users.

It's a big pain for us server admins as not only you but everyone else on the server is getting booted because the server is crashing. I am running a gametype of 'TIA' only now to see if that stops the crashing as it seems to happen on mixed gametype servers.

Yep, same issue here as a server owner. Server crashes and everyone gets booted. Doesn't matter if the mode is fixed to TIA or it's mixed, it will crash regardless, giving everyone the boot. Sloppy MP game, to say the least.

I can fix the countdown time bug though, by going into server control and typing "gl_startgame" without the quotes and it will forcibly start the game. Try it and see if that resolves that issue (out of the embarrassing many for this game).

Another shameless bump.
Anyone have confirmed cases of port forwarding working for them?
Getting permission to forward ports is a little tough for me.

Also, spam Crytek with emails so they actually listen to their customer support staff (which, honestly, I don't think even exist).

Happen all the time. I can't finish even a single match with this problem sticking around me.

This happen to all servers whether lag or not. Even if I am in a local server with 13ms ping, I still get disconnected.

NAT Type is always moderate. I can't get it to OPEN even if I port forward. UPnP doesn't seem to work. I disabled all firewall on my router (Actually it never was turned on) and on Windows 7.

This issue isn't that frequent during my Crysis 2 Beta experience. I still can finish a lot of matches that time. But now it's every single match!

3 most frustrating issue I encountered is...
1, I can't login the account at gamesas.com that I used to login to Crysis 2. (This is just alternative account for complaining and no, I do not want to stick to this account)
2, I can't redeem my Limited Edition code because I can't login to gamesas.com.
3, This!

I enjoy, like, love Crysis series. I treasure it! Singleplayer campaign rocks from top to bottom.

But multiplayer is hell from top to bottom. I have yet to complete a single match due to this issue.

I didn't buy Crysis 2 just for the campaign. I enjoy the multiplayer during the Beta and I hope to enjoy it on gold master version too. Please don't spoil the fun, Crytek.

May I have a delicious cheezburger to my issue, sir?

Edit: I realise I sometime need to log in. Test whether I would get disconnected or not via the Quick Match.

Thank you.

Update: Please read the thread below. I am glad Crytek taking action against this issue. :)

Previously, I port forward 64100 at UDP only. Now I just portforwarded every ports stated in the manual.

TCP Ports: 80, 443, 64100, 6667, 29900, 2990, 28910
UDP Ports: 27900 27901, 64100

I did... something... I forgot. But I don't think it matter...

The NAT Type still Moderate but at least I manage to play in a server without getting disconnected. Only test 1 server...

Portforward all these ports already occupied 9 out of 20 portforwards rules I can put in my router! :(

I think I have found a solution, I usually play games on lowest settings/lower resolution, but when I tried putting my resolution up to max what my computer can support the 1366 x 700 whatever one I played fine, only thing is it runs slightly worse. Don't matter how it runs I suppose the hackers raqe you anyhow.

Scrap that last I played a couple of games and it started happening again, damn it. Some people say directly linking it to your modem works well, for some reason I only get this message at my house not my girlfriends or my buddies house.
