[PC] "The connection to your opponent has been lost"

Is this useful? This is what I see before I was disconnected with a message saying "The connection to your opponent has been lost."

The last few message in the console:

Notice this line:

What is cause=11? Does that say what caused it?
And What the heck you mean by 'Nub destroyed'? Noob?
I hope this information is useful for dev. I do not understand this at all.

Never mind... DMZ-ing my computer in my router (D-Link DIR-615) does work for me.

probs play cabal full stop. this game is unplayable for me. cant play on any server longer than a min or two. connection to opponent has been lost. i have had this issue since day one. 4 patches on and still cant even acknowledge it as an issue. useless is what crytek is.

release a game that a vast majority cant even play. at least a statement from crytek would be a start. And to merge 20 or so threads into one. does that not tell you its a serious issue and negates the reason to ask is anyone still having this issue. there are still hackers, there are still bugs. crytek has fixed nothing worth while. let people play the game before you balance it.

Ok, this is a perfect example of why we ask that people search before posting and not to create duplicate threads. I just merged at least 20 threads regarding this same issue and now, together, they create one big thread with almost 100 replies!

Can anyone still experiencing this issue please post a reply in this thread so that we can be sure this is an ongoing issue and hopefully collect some more information regarding the issue.

of course its an ongoing issue. There were 20 threads and over 100 replies after all. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD look into fixing this thing in your next patch.

I have a d-link dir-615 wireless router (but i'm using a wired connection though it) running DDWRT and i have forwarded all the ports in the manual but i still get this error and when it happens it cuts off my internet for a minute or 2.

Another issue i'm having is "Connection to host lost" but i think its all the same, c'mon crytek fix this (and the lighthouse map still has those dark texture issues.)

Anybody know what we need to do to get any statement from Crytek?

Its really annoying problem with this disconnecting thing it **** my opinion for whole game.

Last night I played, worked fine, got dc once or twice, in the menus, no big deal, but today, kicks me the same as every one else in this thread...

Come on EA, CRYTEK, sort out your KAK!(Afrikaans word for ****)

BFBC2 had issues too, BF2142 also had issues, never played any other EA game online... honestly, its just patches, bug fixes, updates... why the hell can't you give us a game that just works??? We pay good money for your games, least you can do is make it work! Or apologize or something!!!!

Oh and not every1 has a 17Mbps+ internet connection... I do not like waiting hours for updates and patches to download... PLZ just get your stuff right, sigh, don't think i'm gonna be buying BF3 anytime soon...

So I do not care if the problem lies with EA or CRYTEK, just fix the damn thing!!!!

Putting your pc in your router's DMZ does work for some people, worked for me, but it is a temporary issue, I shouldn have to do it.
It's less secure and all that, don't want to login to my router each time i wanna play crysis, cuz i cant just leave it in the DMZ...

This thread is 12 pages long. I keep getting this error, I got it from day one on. It wasn't there in the demo. I opened a thread about this too, on releaseday.

Could we PLEASE get a moderator to forward this and get us an update on this? If this is the official way of doing tech-support, you aren't doing it properly.

I bought Crysis 2 with the intention of playing it online and to this day I cannot do so. Not even getting an official word on the official techsupport forums really bugs me.

But here is something I figured out :

If you start the server browser and get the first entries then be fast and choose one of the first server that is shown and connect to it.
That works for me in 99%.


Another connection Problem I have is the buddy list.
I have 2 friends I usualy play with to one of them I cant even get connected in the lobby."Connection to host failed."

But if I join the other one there is no problem I can join each server he picks and also the other one I cant connect to can join.

I get the same error.

I cant even finish a single game.

I get disconnected randomly during gameplay.

OMG! i have the same bull**** drop out 'connection to your opponent has been lost' going on. Crytek should patch it straight away or give a solution. we pay good money for a good product and get BS like this. i was playin cod online fine so my modem must be ok. crysis fail....

Other question:

Does admin of server has a special right to join hes server if it is already packed 16/16?
I mean - if I have a server on which there is already 16/16 players and when I want to join what will happen?
It will connect me and kick other player or not?

Im starting to think that this is server related problem. What is happening on the server side in the first 3-4 minutes when player starts game?
Why it is always (for me) first 3-4 mins of gameplay?

Shouldnt crytek be looking after us pc users as first priority? i mean if we all didnt buy the original there wouldnt be a crysis 2. SO PATCH THE DAMN GAME CRYTEK! this is obviously a large issue.

Since launch, I have never had one game of multiplayer. After 1 minute of gameplay I am kicked from the game and I get the following error.

"The connection to your opponent has been lost. You've been signed out."

Every god damned time!

That basically sums up my experience with Crysis 2 MP. I paid good money for this. I worked a job, earn't my money, then gave it to you for a product. You have not given me the product I paid for. Crytek, you have scammed me of my money.

What an insult.

Please fix the god damn problem so that I can play your **** ass multiplayer game

Edit: Yes, I am pissed off, and I have EVERY right to be so.

I got disconnected five times today :/ fun. We contacted nfoservers and they said the servers are crashy server side.

lately more and more often this happens when playing MP
I think the problem in the SERVER ( bugs for everything )
But I'm not 100%
