We didn't get angry with Three-Dog (AWOOO!) turning the Washington Monument into a radio tower, or Talons and Muties duking it out in the Capitol (or the huge chunk missing out of the Rotunda), or the White House being simply... gone.

Besides... I wouldn't be surprised if many of my fellow americans never heard of Ol' Ironsides either.

Nah, we're pretty lax about our historical stuff in fiction. If it looks cool, or makes for a good thriller, then it is acceptable. I was sad that the White House wasn't there in Fallout 3. One thing about history it is written by the victors, which to me means do not believe everything you read. I tend to not take mistakes like that too seriously as well lol
