The corpse of Adria?

Ok. Here's a weird one for everyone. Passing through Cheydinhal while on a quest, I get hit with a completely out of nowhere random pop-up. I must have hit a button too fast or something, but the next one that came up asked this:

"Do you wish to dig up the corpse of Adria?"

I said yes, but got told I needed a shovel to exhume the body. No stage updates for any quests took place, and it doesn't seem to be repeatable by loading a prior save and walking the same route through again. Also didn't think to screenshot it, not that it matters, it was just a messagebox.

It's not much to go on, but hopefully someone will recognize that. With the obligatory load order:

I think that's from Kvatch Rebuilt.

It's for the Dark Brotherhood path of convincing the Count's son to go to Kvatch. It's used for the summoning ritual.

Yep, you're right. That was a quick find :)

The script associated with that is in an OnActivate block, and considering I was in the middle of the city, there wasn't anything for me to activate. So something within 2 cells distance of Rythe Lythandas' house in Cheydinhal set it off. The OnActivate block doesn't have a check to make sure it was the player doing the activation.

What doesn't really make sense though is why now? This character has already completed KR.

That I can't tell you... I'll say that at that part, I had to use the console to advance, because after going down the DB path (before realizing that there was another option), I was unable to do anything with the less-than-evil path, so there might be some weird stuff going on with the quests there :shrug:

Only real clue is that there's a TIE NPC hanging around near the gravestone when I walked over to take a look. There shouldn't have been any reason for him to activate it, but he might have tried while hunting the deer he killed nearby. It's certainly weird but as long as it's not going to mess something up I guess I'll just ignore it.
