Ulysses offers the Courier a job that leads him to the Divide. But the question is - what is this "job"? Could it have to do with the Courier helping Ulysses, or not? Could it be a courier related job with a package? Either way, we know we will have to fight him. Well... time to speculate!

A test.

What would he be trying to test the Courier on?

I bet it's a written test, and the Courier tries to tell someone he is sick like the Lone Wanderer, but people just tell him he is crazy.

Perhaps a test of wisdom? Anybody else wanna throw in an opinion?

Not gonna lie, I've got enough money in New Vegas to never have to work again in my characters life, sooo, do i need this job? No.
Sadly, i expect curiosity will drag me to the divide whether i want to go or not.

Take the G.O.A.T. In a ruined Vault sitting behind Ulysses. Then he'll get such a poor score he'll be a Garbage Burner for the rest of his life.

Looks like Ulysses may have lost his mind, found nukes in the divide, and wants to start the great war all over again. Maybe Ulysses has lost all faith in humanity and would rather see humanity destroyed, than to see them keep repeating the same cycles of war over and over again.

The courier emerged from the divide along with Ulysses, the courier caused the divide, Ulysses wants to show him the consequence of an action long ago and hopefully undo the harm.

I just hope that I can be friends with Ulysses... :disguise:
