The Cream of the Crop (Official Rankings)

Hello All Crysis 2 Players

I have looked at many hours of footage and have looked back upon playing with the majority of this list and after the long thought process and putting together names, I have finally come to a GrindouT official list.

I talked with Walka about making my own version of his thread but with a slightly different touch. A lot of similarities will be seen, but I also am now able to edit this since he is unable to edit his. I am presenting here (IN MY HONEST OPINION) a list of the best players in Crysis 2 on the XBOX 360 console. There will be 3 tiers of players similar to Walka’s, but these aren’t just by K/D or W/L in matchmaking, but also by how they play against other top players and how they perform in situations with not just their gun, but also with their voice.

Basically this is based off of the Complete Package. (which most lists should be based off of)

Secondly, players can always move up in tiers, but most likely will never move down. If you aren’t on the list I HAVEN’T PLAYED AGAINST YOU or I am just having a brain fart and don’t remember playing against you. Lastly, no hard feelings to people who aren’t on the list but I have played against as well.

This list is populated by the best players Crysis 2 has to offer on the XBOX 360 console. I wanted this to be more of an official list. I have tried to be as objective as humanly possible, and this is how I have officially rated the best players on the game. Lastly, here is the list…. enjoy

Nice list GrindouT. However, I think Dan (BloodiedSamurai) should be in at least tier 2. He's a really good player in my opinion.
Oh and btw, you might want to correct the places where it says CEPH in capital all the way, because there is actually another clan named that on Crysis. We've run across them multiple times. And kicked their asses of course.

Very nice list, GrindouT.

I can certainly vouch for SuPRa HaVoK, played with / against him a few times a long while back now and damn he was good.

Ceph Thunder should definitely be on there too. I don't think he's played in any/many of the customs though has he?

Thank you for the vote of confidence , i appreciate it . :)
But i must admit i'm not as beastly as Walka , until i can fix tv and sound problems, and get time to actually get some real time to play , i'm gonna struggle to stay even in tier 3 !!!!

I am not adding anybody until i play with them. I don't like to just keep adding players who are solid. I honestly was going to cut some people off the list because of never playing with them and I was to do 50 players at most but i went with some more that i already had written. I like to keep more people on for sake of them being recognized and less feelings being hurt throughout the community.

If I was to reedit this, I would only do top 30 probably. Which even take more work because i would reevaluate a lot of the players near the 30 mark.

That is a long list.

I thought it would have been shorter, at least by now.

Good job though.

If anyone is upset about not being on some arbitrary, subjective list in a dead forum then they need to get their heads checked. This is not an attack on you, I'm talking about those that really would be upset by not being on it..

I know I am at least Tier 2 because I've kicked ass against some of the players on there but to be honest I couldn't care less. My 5.2KD on my alt account playing 100% on my own, without Feline and only on TIA and IA.. says more than any list.

It is my view, but come's from experience and my stats as well.. I do need to play more private matches but to be honest at higher end play connection plays too large a factor and Host is too hard to beat.. It's like Host has a constant Maximum Nanosuit with Rapid Fire! Feline makes it even worse when ppl have to all use the same weapon to compete. I would love to see a non-Feline match so people could use what they usually would in public games.

I've seen someone die on this game over 60,000 times (yes I've played this game too much in the past!) and when I play private I find that a fraction of a second makes all the difference.. I shoot someone before they fire and they turn on me and spray me down.. this is why I don't like private matches they ARE too luck based. Having wireless doesn't help either!!

If they were on dedicated servers that would be a true contest and I would play them.. but in a one-on-one it's like a hypothetical Tennis match where one person is playing on a hard court and the other is playing in mud.. but in this case everyone is playing on different surfaces but worse different people are seeing different things ahead of you or behind you... HIGH END play under these circumstances??? Winning or losing are hollow victories!

Anyway I don't mean to hijack your thread.

What is your g/t? I don't know half the people because switching names and not having the same as the forum name.

But I don't agree with anything you have said. Private matches a luck based? REALLY? so going off of how people play in pubs should mean more?

Also if the feline is the best gun to use, why wouldn't you use it? It's all preference but the feline on a solid connection usually is one of the top guns, ONLY because Crysis 2 is a quick paced melee fest by a lot of people and people get really up close to people to kill them. I have pure up there because of past experiences and how well he also does on bad connections (HE PLAYS SMART on BAD CONNECTIONS). Same with blacknish he can still kill on bad connections.

Also if it is soooo luck based, why do I only have 2 losses in over 25 private custom matches where only 9 were on a US server? Also why do I usually go positive in those on Euro servers? And why was my team Undefeated on gamebattles?

Host are easy kills and deaths. The kill easily but also take bullets easier though the do take more bullets. But they aren't super hard to kill.

Lastly, Mortify wasn't even a starter for our team, because he was a pub(matchmaking) player we met on the demo and never even play a competitive match on a game ever before C2. He could kill people but he didn't understand the intricacies of competitive gaming. He got with us and we kind of molded him and taught him a lot of things and now he is the 2nd best player on the game.

Kazakage i do agree that host does have a 'slight' advantage as i play 1-1 quite alot and a good player with host will kill me 90% of the time if he has the drop same vise versa, But as grindout say's you gotta play smart and make sure YOU get the drop, I do agree it should be dedicated server's but even if the queen wanted it still wouldnt happen. And feline is an ok gun not great unless up close, just dont let them get close then :). i would say the DXG-1 and scar are the best ^^ but you know what gun outgun's feline up close 100% of the time '50 CAL' ^^It's not me argueing it's just giving answer's to your 'theory' Or in my opinion. I guess that's why they make forum's to discuss problem's and people's differences. If you have a good connection why not let you host a private game and see if you still believe what you say :)
