The Cyborg

Post » Sun Jul 17, 2011 6:28 am

I watched the trailer many times and have come to a conclusion:
Scientists say they are confused because they were still wearing our skin, so it is removed along with the brain, this makes me understand two things.
The first is that perhaps we are already in Big Montain and the second is that maybe we are not human.
What do you think?

I think the skin removal is to justify the ability to redo your appearance.

I also remember that at the beginning of the game, we have shot in the head, as we have done to survive?

No, they are jealous and think you don't deserve to wear skin because they can't, and they think there accomplishments are bigger then you.

You are not in big mountain the whole time, its not a simulation. Like i said they said you don't deserve your skin because they are jealous and don't think you deserve it, witch will ultimately change after helping them... or going against them?

Because they are mad scientists, didn't Sawyer say that they weren't forcing a complete history on the Courier so to leave him open for us?

They are saying they don't need the skin, and that we don't need it either, that we can live long and prosperous without it. They are saying they can turn you into a machine like them.

It's because they obviously have an infatuation with silverware.

The Courier is a Cyborg. The Courier is also an extra-terrestrial, deity, lizard person, mole people king, and president of the United States while you're at it.

the courier is all of these things including a/the GOD because the courier is what you make it.

canon wise though what happens when you get killed in the game? you bleed blood. you die. do you see any wires or any indication whatsoever that you are a cyborg? no. no you do not. I think it is safe to say by your death scenes alone that you are not a cyborg.

edit: at least not canonically.

It's just a joke about how 50"s science fiction stories considered the brain the only truly important part of the human body.
It's also because the Think Tanks are using tech to make themselves immortal and can't conceive of the reason anyone else would bother having skin. I assume there's a remote control device in the courier's head and brain which allows him to act.

This is probably in reference to them being robots. Like someone else said, they thought that everyone else was like them. So, they were surprised they were still wearing their skin. Or, they've heard stories of the Divide and thought that the entire Wasteland was as such. I remember someone in FNV saying "I hope a storm in the divide skins him alive." They probably misheard that the wasteland is the Divide, so were surprised when they saw you wearing your skin.

Or, they just got jealous and took it.

Or, the devs thought "taking their brain isn't enough, lets give them paper skin."

It is possible to survive being shot in the head. The chances are small, but it is possible. :spotted owl:

I'm subscribing to the theory that an Oblivion gate opened in The Elder Scrolls universe, that instead of leading to Oblivion, leads to the Fallout universe, and an enchanted skeleton has temporarily taken our place.

I remember Benny talking about that when you confronted him. He remanded himself for using a 9mm. I laughed. I hate 9mm.
