The daedra of dreams

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 11:26 am

What are you lore buffs thoughts on vaermina and her disposition/alliance/feud/indifference to the other daedra lords any opinions or speculation would be greatly helpful as references on the subject are thin.
If i can get some speculation for each of the lords il be happy.

Thanks in advance.

AKA breaking into her house, holding her kids hostage, taking her into another room, and doing naughty things to her until she gave up the plans to Death Star.

I dunno, I got the feeling that she wanted to ...shall we say..role play for a bit. Such an experience that would..give him nightmares for a very long time. Just remember, she looks like a very very very ugly, old, and decrepit hag who happens to be the one who gives people nightmares.

Or having six with her, going into her kids' room, punching them in the head then peeing on them before exiting with the cure without her knowing, a la Renard the Fox.

I still can't decide whether or not the statue looks like a male or female.

This adds to why I said Molag Bal would have nightmares about her...roleplaying 'adventure' with him.

Vaermina is commonly depicted as being female. But since the Daedric Princes don't have inherent genders, she could appear as either.
I think the statue in Oblivion looks very feminine. It does have clearly defined briasts.

For some reason I was picturing the Daggerfall version.

I envision them sitting uncomfortably in very large, worn out old leather chairs, exchanging cringing glances over a cup of some putrid daedric tea, occasionally feigning interest in the weather, beating around the bush as long as possible before getting down the the inevitable bump and grind.

I always found the Daggerfall incarnations of each Daedric Prince to be the most authentic-looking. If I want to lie and come up with a phony lore excuse, I'd say that the avatars you encounter in Daggerfall are a much more accurate representation than the statues. Yes, the Princes can choose their appearance, but the statues throughout Cyrodiil probably had some degree of artistic license about them.

Daggerfall's Azura, on the other hand... :ahhh:

I was disappointed when she was neither topless nor pretty in Morrowind.

She was topless, but there's no nipble

They were only like that on the statues of her. She wasn't topless.

I'm looking at the statue right now, and she certainly is topless, but the statue also doesn't have nipbles

But herself isn't.
