the game has to have a graveyard mausoleum necromancer/lich lair i thing that would be so cool, hidden away from society. where the lich/necromancer can delve into the dark arts

First off; Welcome to the forums. Have a http://www.mwmythicmods.com/fishy.htm

Second off; people don't like it when you just keep posting. Use the edit button.

Third off; I really hope Necromancy has a role in the game.

Yeah I'm sure necromancy will be back in there for Skyrim. I am imagining a much more in depth system for all magic use and hopefully as you mention, some nice places dedicated to specific magic types, where you can research further.
This would allow mages who dedicate the time to continue to develop on and on.
Here's hoping! A lot of people want a lot of things from Skyrim. :-)

Pretty sure someone will say something about welcoming you to the forums and the quadruple posting... Anyway, I'm all for being able to summon undead minions etc but as for actually becoming a lich, I would only want that in the game if it were done well. Lichs in general weren't done very well in Oblivion. They were too easy to defeat considering what they're supposed to be. If you became a lich you would pretty much have to be killed on site by any townsfolk, guards etc. I like the fact that there are dungeons with ghosts and zombies etc in them, but why does every crypt have a ghost? The more common something is the less scary it is.

edit:
I also hope they include the lairs matched to character class like they did with the dlc in obliion. Only this time I hope they don't charge extra for it...

ya know it would be cool if they added my mausoleum crypt lair idea with the same door from benirus manor, but a much larger area and secluded, i was a perfectionist with my old file on oblivion i dedicated months arranging books and all necromantic items i could find ,necromancers amulet was my 2nd prized possession the first was the necromancers moon, i actually found a way to make it droppable (xbox version) however the blood worm helm they say couldnt be obtained because irlav jarol suffered a on screen death and could not be cloned to dupe the helm because he died too quickly, but i was able to actually clone him using a fairly ingenious plan but however when i was able to clone him the helm didnt show up in his inventory, i was crushed i thought i was going to be the first person to bypass the loophole and achieve what no one could do

you cloned and dropped unclonable/undroppable things on the 360 version... you even cloned an NPC?

um... what did you do, exactly? i've never heard of anyone doing those things on the console versions.

anyway, i do hope bethesda improves on the magical arts in skyrim... i'd love if they made the summon spells better, not so short-lasting and useless like in oblivion... and it would be awesome to become a full-on necromancer or lich... they did give us a little taste of necromancy in oblivion, allowing us to use black soul gems to steal NPC souls... that was kinda cool.

though, becoming a lich... that would require alot more work than becoming a vampire or werewolf because becoming a lich is much more complicated than simply getting bitten by one, and waiting a few days.

imagine that... walking up to a lich, getting smacked in the mouth, and going home, sleep for three days, and you wake up as a floating bag of bones with godlike power.

i think, if we do get to become liches in a TES game, it should require quite a bit of work, almost enough to make ya say "eh, screw it!", and the price would be steep, forfeiting your normal life in-game... cause once you're undead, you're not coming back, this isnt like vampirism and lycanthropy, theres no cure for a lich, im pretty sure.

I just read in one of the books from Imperial Library ("Preparation of the Corpse"? I think it's something like that) that necromancy isn't outlawed in Skyrim (or any country excepting Morrowind, AFAIK) but that it's hard to find fresh bodies in the snow, because they're under the snow. Also mentions how handy a "Detect Corpse" spell would be in relation to that hobby.

I forsee no real necromancy, though. Just the regular summons thing.

you can drop the necromancers moon book by quickly stealing it from the wizard (forgot his name) after you give it to him, it will be red flagged and a quest item, after that continue the quest until it is completed, now take it to a fence and sell and buy, and voila you now have a three pound 5 dollar necromancers moon. as for the necromancers amulet check out on google (Master Pugs cloning and undead guide)

I really hope that both Necromancy and Lichdom will be in Skyrim. however, the price would have to be steep.

ya know it would be a sweet feature if they added the ability create your own books, i would write all my knowledge of the dark arts. and if they made it so you could find various types of bones and use them to create undead minions, that way bones could become a useful item used for other than decoration, and just imagine finding a horned dremora skull man that would be sweet ohhh sorry new at this EDIT: HEY anybody got some cool new ideas about the subject

ya know if someone truly wanted to walk down the path of lichdom it would have to be incredibly difficult, youd have to acquire a special tome choose a phylactery and choose what kind of lich would be fitting also possess a conceal nature spell so you could interact with townsfolk and complete quests

wouldnt it be cool to be able to create your own undead horse and maybe a bone dragon flyable mount. i also thought it would be cool is they made a spell that when struck with turned you into a skeleton. OOOOHHHHH and what the hell ever happened to the Revenant the so called necromancer god, the one that creates the black soul gems i want to see that guy and if possible work for him, worship him meet him directly, im sure he makes mannimarco look like a [censored]

The Revenant is Mannimarco!

i dont think so how so? i thought the revenant was a god and mannimarco was his right hand man besides remember the quest where the necromancers were creating black soul gems for their master which is mannimarco, well if he was dont you think he could just make a trillion for himself right then and their? no i think the revenant is some form of god neither dadric nor divine somthing like sithis. oh and dont you remember reading the necromancers moon
