So the day fallout 4 comes out are you going to?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 1:59 pm

Are you going to let people ruin your experience because the first day its out, one person out in this world is ready to ruin so much for fallout 4, i will refuse to even look how to obtain anything, i do everything myself. What about you do you just want fallout 4 to be ruined for you? I think someone will try to cheat to get to the end of game for they can have the first video showing the ending of fallout 4, i know all of this me and my friend on fallout 3 were picking up the game and a guy said "Did you know fallout 3 ends when you beat it" I really don't know how people know this, but i don't want my experience ruined because people will post stuff on here about what armor there is, who can die and who can't, they already confirmed dogmeat don't die.
I just don't want to see a story destroyed by people who look for everything and stay on this game for 24/7, if you have that much time to play a game you must have a great job. So what is your thoughts on this?

No! I'll probably stop coming to the forum if I get even one whiff of something spoilery. In any case I will probably stop coming here t minus 7 days anyway.

That's a great idea stay away from the forums 7 days before the game comes out, i like that but i know there will be a couple more videos, todd has said he will speak more on companions later, which i won't watch that at all.

As a moderator, it tends to put me in a difficult position. Finding spoilers and putting them in right section is... kind of one of my primary roles here. Since I have a family and a full-time job, it's kind of a given that other forumites will be progressing through the main content at a much faster rate than I will be - and inevitably people will post spoilers and help threads for quests in the wrong subsection. And while sometimes it's obvious and you can sort of skim through the subject title and not get too much spoiled, other times it's less obvious and you have to actually read the thread to decide if it should be moved or not.

I remember when Skyrim came out, I was so far behind (still have never got around to finishing up that game, actually) that I was completely clueless many times if a topic was considered common knowledge or if it was giving away important information that not everyone was supposed to know already. So I kind of lucked out there. Plus, not being all that familiar with a lot of the lore meant that even if I did come across a spoiler topic it often meant nothing to me. (So if something in Skyrim had a surprise reference to past events or important characters, it all sounded the same to me - it would technically be a spoiler but wouldn't have any meaning to someone unfamiliar with the franchise.)

With Fallout 4 I'm more familiar with the established lore of the franchise. So if a topic comes up like "How do I kill the Master?" then that's going to be harder for me to ignore than if I was browsing the Skyrim forums and came across "I killed but he didn't drop the "

Either way, I likely won't even be able to play until the following Thursday, and possibly until that weekend before I'm able to really spend some time on it.

Likely not because I'm going to abandon these forums a solid week prior to and following the release. Any websites I still visit during those times with be largely gaming unrelated, or if they are sites I know don't spoil. (AV Club, and Escapist Reviews are really great about this for anyone looking for a spoiler free way to read a review)

I would have to say being a moderator, wouldn't be a easy job for you because you got to work, take care of your family and also get rid of these flamebashing peeps who just want to ruin your days, i can't stand how people tend to post hatred towards stuff on this forum, i know this forum was attacked by a hacker. So you literally have to move the threads people spoil in look into what people ruin about this game? I see no simple job comes easy is what my father taught, my father passed away when i was only 17, he died in a plane crash. My father was a big impact on my life when i was younger, i currently work, 14 hour days and also i don't have a family, my mother died when i was 8 in motorcycle accident, and my uncle in prison for something to do with fraud. After i left Italy to come to the united states my family disagreed with me on alot of things about leaving my home town, but i wanted to pursue my life in the U.S.A. If not i would of been over in a country that has enough problems a day from these sick humans who like to do bad things. I never really ever dated anyone when i came here i didn't know what i was going to do i only had 200 bucks in my name when i arrived i now currently have saved over 47,589 dollars and im proud of what i accomplished, i also am pursuing to becoming a police officer here in the U.S.

About a week before Skyrim dropped, a guy was putting full playthoughs on his youtube channel. I watched about 2-3 hours of the start of Skyrim and tutorial and what not before I realized I was making a mistake. Absolutely ruined the start for me. This year I'll watch bethesda content on the game and that's it!

Nah....that's what I'm getting the strategy guide for. Well mostly just there for perk management....since some perks you can get free from magazines in the world and such I'll want to know what not to waste perk points on, the locations of all these magazines and other stat boosting stuff like bobble-heads if they still increase their associated SPECIAL as they did in Fallout 3.

I will only be able to play Fallout 4 after the 20th December. So for two months i need to avoid spoilers, which will be hard. Most i will watch is official Bethesda stuff and maybe character creation tutorials.

My online time is cut down close to 0% when a new game is released, especially a Fallout game. The game has my undivided attention.

I will likely not post at all until the 12th when I get back to work. Even then the most I might do is look at a general thread with a topic like "Awesome or not?" or other such blandness. Anything containing a "Spoiler" tag will be avoided like plague.

The day it's out I'll probably be too busy playing it than hanging around here. I'll come back the next day, see what kind of rage posts people are putting up when I need a good laugh over coffee.

Its pretty easy to avoid spoilers. Just dont watch videos on youtube about the story, dont even look at facebook if you dont trust your friends that much. Never has and never will be a problem for me.

Nope, I'm going dark from the outside world starting Nov. 10th. No spoilers equals much fun!

I'm going to spoil everything (for me) because I won't play the game until it goes on sale (maybe with DLCs) and I want to know how it is so that I can complain like an old grumpy man.

As I've said before, I'm probably not getting the game until February for financial reasons. So, I fully expect the main storyline will be spoiled for me, just by my browsing of Youtube, news sites and these forums.
