The Deadliest Warrior!

Post » Sun Sep 19, 2010 11:12 am

So, here's a list of warriors I've compiled that there is a pretty decent source of information on, and I tried to stay away from creatures/monsters as well as individual, unique, NPC's.
I compiled the list, included a little information, but all in all, the decision on who would win is based on your own opinions. I included 10. The matchups you could get out of this are plentiful, so rather than post a bunch of a matchups, I'll simply post the competitors and leave it up to you guys to make your own matchups and chime in on who you think is... The Deadliest Warrior.

Also keep in mind, these are not in-game battles. This is in a real world (real Nirn) scenario, so every little quality and trait plays huge roles in each matchup.

Ordinators: Dunmer only. Training and experience. Mace weapons. Medium, head to toe armor.

Dremora (Valkynaz): Intelligence, high quality weaponry, daedric armor. Shield spells and fire damage. Resistances to magic. Large physique. (Warrior type)

Skeleton Champion: Can summon skeleton Guardian. Wield claymores and sometimes bows. Immune to poison, paralysis, and resists frost. 350 health.

Imperial Palace Guard: Silver Longswords or Claymores, full set of heavy Imperial Watch Armor, (piked shield)

Knight of the Order: Massive crystal armor, one handed long blade

Dark Brotherhood Member: Unparalleled stealth, enchanted weapons, enchanted light armor, speed.

High Ranked Blade Member: full heavy blade armor, Akaviri Katana, Well trained, experience

Goblin Warlord: Speed, high health, leveled weapons, shield

Dread Zombie: High health, Unarmed but strong melee attacks, Regenerate health, Weak to fire, resistant to poison, deceptively quick

Steam Guardian: Resistances to frost, fire, poison, shock, (going on ingame information not lore) high health, aggressive, extended mace as an arm, made of armor.

Deathclaws. (...So these are what bottlecap mines are for...)

I'd say Steam Guardian or High ranked (Cyrodillian) blade member. Just because the blades at Bruma repelled the Daedra, although outnumbered, until We shut the gate.

I believe it is the high-ranking Blade member. This would make a nice poll.

This is a great show on Spike XD

Anyways, its a good tie between Palace Guard, Dark BrotherHood, and the Blade.

DB:Stealthy and cunning, yes, but are their daggers and bows good enough to penetrate Palace Guard and Blade armor?

Blade:Lotsa training, Akavari weapondry, they not only excel at combat, but can also go undercover.

Palace Guard:Superior armor, elite guards, experienced, but are mainly just combat orientated.

1. Blade
2. DB
and last Palace Guard.

In my mind the DB assassin would be going for a hit on the Blade, and would try suprising him, but the Blade's war-hardened body and mind, and great skill with the katana would lead him to a victory.
I think the DB assassin had a good chance of winning, and probably could have, but the Blade was too fast and experienced from protecting the emperor. I think it would be a close match, and the DB would win if he stayed at a distance and hit em with arrows. Of course I had to take into account the Blade's armor.

Close fight

Pyrrhic victories at best. They were never suited for long engagements, or else the Rguards might have a homeland. They fail at common sense.

Edit: That's if we agree that they were responsible for sinking the HMS Yokuda. If not, they were probably pretty cool.

I think Dremora (Valkynaz) because they are the personal guards of Mehrunes Dagon.

Been watching some Spike T.V. have we, well I'm going to say palace guards after all they are suppose to be the elites and would be the best the imperial legion has to offer.

If I had to guess I'd say the Hands of Almalexia. They not only are top-notch warriors in similarly high-quality enchanted armor and weapons, but they've been further empowered by Almalexia.

Edit: However, if it counts, I'd have to say the Shivering Isles Gatekeeper is even stronger, for an individual.

Well the Ordinator might not be the deadliest, but they certainly are the fiercest, especially when you've donned one of their cuirasses at the wrong time.

It isn't an option in the poll but I would also vote for one of Her Hands. They are warriors and have top quality enchanted heavy armour and weapons (ebony Scimitar IIRC).

"Some say the Hands are the most terrible mortal warriors in the world." -- TES3 Treasury

Out of the poll options I vote for the High Ranked Blade.

The Blades are much more highly trained than the palace Guards..they're there for show/intimidation.

And the Blades utterly failed to defend their Emperor.

That doesn't make the mythic dawn great warriors though. It makes them great assassins..it's like the ninja guy in Deadliest Warrior said in regards to the Spartan. "We wouldn't fight them head on anyway. We'd kill them in their sleep."

That's basically what they did. They killed the heirs in their sleep and tried to get Uriel.

Now in all seriousness, I mentioned the Goblin Warlords in a joking manner earlier, but the lore may actually justify them as serious contenders. They're literally bred for war by the Altmer. That's the sole purpose of their existence. While the Orcs may have the most spartan-like culture of the playable races, they are at least civilized, literate, intelligent people. The true "beast races" like Goblins, Minotaurs and Ogres base their society around rule of the strongest. They're fiercely tribal and constantly kill to attain leadership positions. The most intense, brutal warrior in the world is probably some Goblin Warchief or Minotaur Lord that nobody has ever heard of.

edit:

Her Hands - I exclude them because they were personally trained and enchanted by a Goddess. That tips the scale in their favor way too much. To throw a Hand into this battle royale would be to bring a gun to a knife fight.

Shivering Isles Gatekeeper is a Daedra, an oversized Flesh Atronoch. If we count Daedra then we'd have to count Princes too, which is also obviously severely unfair.

And let's not forget Helseth's goblin army.

The goblins are frankly weak. I'm not scared if I see one in a cave. Either a Psijjic, an Imperial battlemage, A tongue, one trained in Pankratosword, or a Necromancer. Any one of those skilled enough with their art would be capable of destroying much of the world over.

I haven't played Oblivion but played Morrowind. So I think the ordinators are the strongest because they can cast spells that can take care of creatures only harmed by magic or silver weapons and the spell by itself is pretty deadly. They have a high health bar, good armor and an excellent ebony mace. So I'd pick ordinators.

If we're including small elite forces such as the Blades, goblin warlords, palace guards or Her Hands, the Ansei or the Tongues would be the strongest imo, easily stronger than one of Almalexia's Hands.

I'm confused as to how this is a Lore question? I chose other, for Gaenor and Gedna Relvel.

Other: Hircine's Hounds

Dear lord those things were brutal. Shredded through armor in seconds. Fast and strong. And since levitation is out of the question in present day tamriel, pretty much all of them are SOL.

Yeah but again..do we count supernatural creatures in this debate? Is it the strongest warrior overall or the strongest MORTAL warrior?

And would Her Hands count as mortals?

Gaenor is a tricky case..he's clearly mortal but has an OBSCENE lucky streak about him, like he's touched by the gods or something.

You're confused, because this isn't a lore question. It's hardly a question at all, really. It belongs in the general forum.
