The default time scale in Skyrim and how to change it.

Post » Thu May 17, 2012 11:26 am

Skyrim's default time scale is 1:20 (so that one hour in the game will have a duration of three minutes in the real world), as can be verified by running 'show timescale' in the console on a "clean" save.

Similar to setting the FoV via the console, using 'set timescale to N' - where N is the desired multiplier for acceleration of the in-game time - will modify the time scale such that it will persist on subsequent loads of a game that has been saved with the modified setting.

You should post this in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/forum/178-skyrim-cheats-hints-and-spoilers/, as this is intended just for software and hardware technical problems. You're post will get lost in the boiling sea of trouble threads if left here.

Alternately, you can try PMing a mod to see if they will move this one for you.

Will do. I wasn't really sure where to put it, to be honest.

I just mean a save in which you haven't modified the time scale already, so that the default is still in effect.
