As long as they are all speaking the same language. It frustrates me to no end when I'm playing BFBC2 and my toon spouts some nonsense instead of telling my team their is a tank comin'

Eh, I think they all would speak english, with a few words not being english :P

"Yeah, but it wasn't incoming" isn't British. "Multiple Enemies Spotted!" is =P

Think of Ghost or Gaz.

De eyvi!

That's how the Spetznas in MW2 sound to me when they say "Enemy down". But I actually know what they're trying to tell me, because they always say this if they kill someone.

In the video I saw the ''Multiple enemies spotted!'' sounded like he was screaming in some foreign accent (as in some other nationality than british), and the ''multiple'' and ''spotted'' blurred out to something like ''MOODIPPEL ENEMIES SPOOODEEEEDDD'' :l So not too sure about that :P (It's in the video where he plants the HI-Charge at the reactor)

It's an ACCENT, not a different language. They will speak English with probably a few native words.

I also heard something about hearing stuff in your own language. Don't remember what it was though. Fairly certain that PW said it in on of the interviews.

I think he said they are localizing the language in the game for different regions.

I think it was something with the quickchat/announcer. Let's say that I have an English copy of the game and I press the button to request ammo then it'll shout "I need ammo" on my screen, while someone with a German copy will hear "Ich will ammo" (Sorry to the Germans if I made a spelling mistake)

Something like it. I'm not exactly sure, that's why I asked.

I see where you're coming from. Personally I like my games in English even when my language is available. I learn while playing and it sounds better most of the time.

That's just simply localisation.

As the game is bound to Steam, though, it will (should) be really easy to download any language pack.

Yes, you can set the game to any of the available languages, and the auto-chat will be in that language. So you can communicate via canned chat, even if you don't speak a common language.

World wide release games having one language for where it is being sold isn't plausible.
A choice between which language you would like your game (and in-game langauge) to be in is usually how games are set up.
Of course I'm talking about PAL so I dunno if NTSC is different.
