This is the official Diablo discussion thread, where everything from Diablo 2 character builds to discussion about the upcoming title Diablo 3.
Please follow the forum Rules and refrain from talking about any illegal activity on the Battle.net server.

Please post your user account (not your character's name) and state which realm you belong to. I will be updating them everyday. asap. Make sure to state you want it on the first post.


To add the people in your realm as a friend click [ENTER] and type /f a username
Keep in mind that characters can be created amongst 3 three tiers: ladder, hardcoe and Non-ladder. For now, post your name under whichever tier you play the most in.

Also, if you want references use Arreat Summit. I use it and think its a great D2 site.

I played through it awhile back quite a bit but not so much anymore. I can only stand to play it for short periods of time before I have to take a break. I played both a Barbarian and Assassin though I had a Paladin started I didn't get too far with him. I enjoyed it when I played with another guy but once we finished the quests we stopped playing.

Do your online characters still get deleted after 90 days or however long it is? That's the only thing that's kept me from continuing to play this game, because I take extended breaks from every single game I own.

It says your character is expired, but if no one has taken the name of your character you can still use it (the expired status will go away after that).

Just make a note to keep logging in once a month.

I remember in the first Diablo game, when me and my friend were playing at his house I was the designated "potion button presser" whilst he controlled the rest of the character.... good times =)

I have that same problem in Diablo II. When I'm in a tough situation, low on health, I always start freaking out, hands scrambling over the keyboard, trying to find those precious F1-F4 keys. I take my eyes of the screen for but a moment -- I can't find the keys in the dark. And, BAM! I hear the sounds of a surely agonizing death from my character. :laugh:

Edit: also, on Diablo: that game is so hard. Seriously. I tried to play Diablo once because it came with the 'battle chest'. I couldn't even get past the first floor. Not to mention it felt really clunky (i.e. I had a hard time picking up items when they fell behind walls, moving felt clunky, etc.). I uninstalled it in defeat, and went back to its successor.

The first Diablo is an absolute [censored] to complete, but the feeling of satisfaction after killing Diablo is unrivaled.

When I logged on to one of my accounts for the first time in half a year I saw that all my characters had 'expired', thankfully I could recover them. If I couldn't have recovered them I probably would have uninstalled the game again... I'm not leveling 4 character to 90+ again

The head is not bad. I got it for cheap, it had the +bspear and +bspirit base, + that other skill, then I just made a splendor. Its not bad, not bad at all. I'd take a darkforce over it any day though. I would not bother trying to get an item like that playing single player. That could take forever, for real, and you may never ever get that item (playing legit of course).

I can do a grush if you want. Act 2 normal (or Act 1 normal) to Act 5 Hell. I have a bumper to do this. Mabey you and Con can get in on it? Others also? That is on US East Ladder.

Bebop amused me -- the amount of times I rushed that guy was insane.

I kinda miss playing this, it's one of those games where I really feel like playing for ages, but when i actually install and start to play -- I'm bored within minutes. It's mainly because every one just rushes through the game now to get straight to end game. Which is pretty pointless when you do PVM, I understand why you would want to for PVP though.

What I did notice is every time i play, I pick a character -- before level 20 i get bored of said character and revert back to assassin. All I can say is. WWsin jacked up to the eyeballs with +poison charms +speed items and -Resists is unstopabble in some hands.

I wont be playing this again any time soon however, my D2 LOD disk is in about 7 pieces after some one stood on it.

You can register your key with blizz and get a new 25 dig. key to use with their download (no cd req install).

You know what I like about the game. Some guy wants 2 normal rubys for what is the equivalent of 1 Mal (right now Ladder East). I am asking for the worth of 6 Mal's. LOL Im sure hes considering it, he wants to cube something lololo.
Best trade I made that I can remember was an El rune for a Um rune. Guy really wanted the El and I guess he doesnt collect low runes. Like how this guy doesnt collect low gems.

We used to play hard core hunter games. In every act we'd have a level limit (i.e act 1 = level 15, act = level 25 etc) We'd have a party of 6 characters and two hunters who would be 5 levels above the act limit, the party would have to make their way through each act and avoid the hunters. The hunters objective would be to kill the party. At the end the outright winner (so soul survivor or hunter with the most ears) would win an expensive rune word/rare item on hardcoe mode, which are obviously hard to come by for new hardcoe players. It was very very fun indeed.

My favourite act was always Act two, made hunting fun.
