so what do you think about that, any ideas what different types there could be?

light security...medium security....high security...max security....super max security.

I bet we have a shivering isles type punishment but altered where we will have to fight in the arena for our freedom.

There's an interesting Dungeon in Game of Thrones, can't remember precisely what it's called but it's in a castle way up high in the mountains. The cells basically have three walls and a sloping floor to where the fourth wall should be and instead of a fourth wall there's an 800 foot shear drop. try to escape from that one, lol.

Well there's probably your basic dungeon like those from Oblivion.
Other kinds... hmmm maybe there are more savage people (Todd mentioned different types of clans) whose jails are more or less simple cages.
Magical prisons? I don't know but the idea seems interesting to me.

There might be some like in Shivering Isles, where you're put in the bottom of a dungeon and cleared of your bounty if you make it out alive.
Maybe there's one where you have to win a weightless carrot eating contest to be free?

Dungeons for melee, hand to hand and magic players . the fourth one for NPCs.

Well there is prob ur normal jail in most big cities. Maybe in small villages if u commit a crime you have to do a quest for the guards or maybe they take all ur stuff n they make you work at the mill for a while. Anfor big crimes like murder in a big city you are enslaved and the only way out is victory in the arena.

real time jail time.

be forced to mine ore for 16 hours a day.

share a bunk with a moon sugar addicted khajiit who sings in his sleep.

spend 1 hour in the yard talking to other prisoners.

eat gruel and stale bread 3 times a day.

have one visitor a week.. if you develop a relationship.

One special jail for those who modded in killable children and killed some
