The Distillery Mod

I have a working Still in the game, and if anyone want to add some comments please do. This is a WIP (work in progress) and is about 60% complete.
I plan on a few quests some quests will be continual as long as you have enough faction earned points with the place. There are several new items to the game.

The first is a still you can make you own alcohol with. Building a Support mod to be able to add ingrediants, and effect the overall flora what was missing.

New camo netting to hide my place. This will eventually be a modders a resource.

A smoker BBQ, that acts like a campfire.

Looks interesting. I like the idea and everything looks well thought out. My only feedback would be to add more clutter and more obvious lighting. I look forward to seeing how it pans out with quests and such.

Oh yeah, clutter is missing no doubt about that. That will probable be in the last stages of creation though. Im still designing layouts. Then major quests, which branch off to smaller ones.
Right now Im concentratin on the tour room. And I want my tourbot to follow you around and offer samples. Then I have design another mod for some ingrediants that are lacking.

Its pretty much a full blown large scale project that I started. So up to ears in work for it, But I hope you liked it. Thats why i do this.

I noticed the custom beer screenshot, I'm interested. I'm a homebrewer, if you'd like to do something more involved with the beer part of this mod and need advice, let me know and I will be more than happy to provide you with any info/suggestions you need.

There is a Modler who is working on an over head crane, but recipe's would be great.
There's another mod for ingrediants, I would like to use this as an easier way to manage recipe's.
If you like where this mod is going then please pm me or email me,

Bottom line is this, I only ask that if you want to add to it
and you say your stuff is ready is for a realease and its not,
I would rather you not deliver on that release and wait
for the next release.

I plan on two versions of the still. One for "hardcoe", and one for "Normal give me stuff now mode".

The ingrediants will be from another mod im working on, but its all complicated, and I have to learn the scripting langaunge.
I took some time off for the week because of the Japanese Disaster.

What I'm thinking you could do, if you'd like to do the beer thing the right way, is have distillery AND brewery equipment. Beer brewing is really quite a different from distilling spirits. Here's a basic diagram of the equipment used in a brewery: http://img847.imageshack.us/i/brewery.jpg/

Pretty much everything in there could be put together using stuff freely available in the GECK. The most important part would be the fermenters, which fortunately enough for you Bethesda has provided a model for: http://img10.imageshack.us/i/screenshot1wu.jpg/

Take a few of those, resize them (a bit wider and overall larger), and find parts that resemble the rest, and you've got a basic brewery. Other than that, if you would like recipes for different styles of beer, I can probably help out with the details of that if there's an ingredient mod that will have the basic necessities. I'd strongly suggest making a "Strategic Nuclear Moose" as one of them. Again, Bethesda did half the work on that one. :smile:

These are all custom made Meshes. So I won't be adding anything new for a bit. Right now my buddy is working on my overhead crane.

The beer portion though is ustilizing the still in the game. I have turned into a real distiller that a player can make his own. But you gave me an idea though. I may make two different models now. One for liquor, and one for just beer.
hmmm. :foodndrink: That actually sounds like a kickarse idea. Off to geck. :teehee:

Ok, starting on the quests now. Playing with a mini quest. The major Quest portion is the deliveries all over the mjoave, and thats going to involve encounter zones. I havent worked that all out yet, but the basic script is in. Will probable require FOSE soon. Right now its not, but since update 10 they include the 4gig memory mod. Im not gonna experiment untill this is almost complete though, so still thrashing through. FOSE would be a better route to go though.
