The Dragon Scrolls RP OOC

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 8:46 am

Well, I came up with the idea when I looked at DAO( Dragon Age Origins) and TES. I saw that these two, specially DAO and TES Skyrim have so much in common and can be combined and make a cool RP.
here is what I have in mind as the plot.

I have the plot in my mind.
See, in Dragon Age Origins, you have to kill the dragon or archdemon to win the battle. and in Elder scrolls, you have to find the scroll so you can do so. The combination of them will be this plot. In order to end the blight and the dragons attack and to kill their leader, you have to find an elder scroll and also go through a sort of joining to have the ability to slay the dragon to end the war. through this period, the same levels of DAO and some stages of TES will be combined. Like the quest of choosing the imperial or storm.... We can make it similar to choosing who should be king in DAO and side with that person and go through other stages to make preparations for the final battle.
Note: there will be reference to DA2.

As in both games we have romance like romance, rivalry and friendship. The same things can be developed by RPiers as a part of their roles and acts. But it firstly musat be consulted the Target RPier and RP moderators of the threads to prevent any bad incidents/

As for the shape of the dragons, as TES dragons are more realistic, The dragons will be like them.

Like both DAO and TES, you can choose your race, class, skills, level, armor, weapons and base story and bio and such things.

The RP world wont be so big. I mean it wont be like TES so vast and neither like DA@ so small. It will be something moderate. Cause the bigger the world, the more likely i wont be done well. So as a friend of mine said, choosing one of Tamriels provinces will be a good idea. so I think Skyrim is a fair choice. With few additions from DAO, like Dwarves city and a forest made for some elves to live in.

Beside the Scroll that gives us the ability to slay the dragon the following ritual.
About what joining is going to be. Well, I have been thinking about it and finally reached this idea. The joining will be in fact, going to a very dangerous cave in Skyrim, facing dozens of enemies and slaying them. And collecting come bones or remainders of a dead dragon and bringing them back so some kind of a soup be made by it and then eaten to get the ability of slaying dragons and gaining more strength.
This allows us to slay the dragon, consume its power and survive.

The world will be a dangerous place and with constant threats. Dragons may attack any town or settlement anytime or even on the road or some people trying to kill us according to our alignment during RP. and Even being caught up in the middle of some unwanted fights and wars, for control, money, civil war and such things.while visiting a town and such. and even joining factions or being part of a certain guild or faction.

Sounds interesting? what do you think?

I'm not even considering joining a new RP, but I'll give some feedback all the same.

There's still the issue of how many RPs are currently active.

In addition, the story is pretty much revealed step-by-step already, something I certainly don't want when I join an RP.

And dragon soup? Really? :D

Basically, it sounds like you're trying to recreate Skyrim, the game, into an RP. Basically turning the video-game, single player into a book-form multiplayer.

The story is not revealed at all. I have just explained how does it work. what simliarities does it have? what features will the RP have.It is the RPiers who make the story.

For me, you revealed too much  This is a purely subjective observation though.

I agree with Gorbad, compare it with 'A Province Divided' for example, those stories seem to offer a lot more freedom.

well, I repeat myself. There is no restriction or limitation on ANY RPier during the course or RP and the RPiers will have complete freedom regarding their RP way, their alignment, the way they want their character to be, how he talks, and even the outcome and end of their characters. no one is saying hey you should or must do this or must do that, or mus join the resistance and such. not at all. You are totally free. I explained what the combination of this two will look like.

on your point of saying that Skyrim dragons look more realistic :) Skyrim's dragons are actually wyverns. Wyverns are a subspecies of dragons. Dragons have four legs and a pair of wings that are not used as legs/claws. Wyverns have two legs, sometimes none, and they use their wings as second pair of front legs, kind off, to walk. This is like the Skyrim dragons. So when staying through to the definitions of dragons and wyverns, DO2's dragons are more realistic.

You're welcome. Glad I could help! :)

anyway, like said before I think there are a bit to much rp's busy at the moment. You'd better wait until some of them die out. We don't have a big pool of active rp'ers waiting to join a rp.

I'm not a big fan of this to be honest. I've had dragons in Skyrim and I believe that Skyrim (or The Elder Scrolls in general) and Dragon age is to similar. I'd do a crossover with a much more different game. Just my two cents.

not a good move bro...you see...everyone who is up for RPing browses here and certainly sees your Thread as well and if he likes, he will contact you. no need to put ads on other threads,
I removed the text from it so if you unquote it the post will be forgotten in the darkness that is edited out...
