They're more than likely be the main enemies so the ride/summon is out of the picture, there might be rare random encounters, and how many is completely debatable. Assuming they're strictly enemies and you don't befriend a rouge dragon or some bullcrap like that.

I believe Bethesda were always against having dragons in their games. They were considered extinct for a long while. On top of that, Having many dragons flying around doesn't really fit the mood that the TES games have given us.

With that said:

1) One
2) No
3) No

But who knows, maybe Skyrim will change TES games forever.

I think 3, because on the wall it shows 3 in the beginning, and it says " the elder scrolls told of their return..."

Well, Morrowind and Battlespire talked about battlemage dragon riders. They might be rideable in game.

1) One to a small dozen, not more than that.
2) No
3) Yes; there will only be a few total, but they will be encountered frequently in random encounters.

I hope I'm not over-anolyzing, but the narrator in the teaser said: "...we never knew THEY existed..". So at least 2. ^^

Don't think you'll be able to ride them, but not ruling that out considering that we don't know anything about the game or the 'destiny' of the playing character at this point.

Since I have the impression that they are very large, I suspect that they're not too common. Perhaps there will be random encounters with Dragonlings.

On a side note, I'm actually not a big fan of Dragons anymore. They're so over-used in fantasy that I grew tired of them.
I hope at least that you can communicate with them and that they're not generic mindless beasts.

Having a story like: *Oh, no a dragon burned down Rifton!* ...and then you have to go slaying one dragon after the other would svck beyond reason.

Never knew dragons existed, not never knew these particular dragons existed. It could still be one.

1. A few. Like Dragon Age where they are in the game but it's a big occurrence when you run into one.

2. I hope not, that is really cheesy.

3. see #1

It's extremely cheesy, but it's already in Morrowind's lore.
