Estarriol watched in horror as the Breton he had previously trying to defend turned into a lich, necromancer and servant of Mannimarco before his very eyes. It was then he realised how foolish he had been. He had known something very dark was going on, and had wanted to get Arnand to a servant of the Nine right away, but it had never crossed his mind that Arnand would become an enemy, or lich. He looked outside and saw what looked like every corpse in Blackwood heading straight for the inn. Estarriol's composure was shattered now. He knew that his life was in immediate danger, and yet he could not escape. Oh, yes, it was possible for him to just run and escape. It would be quite simple for a mage of his calibre, indeed, almost any mage, to just cast a simple spell, and escape within minutes. But to do that would go against all his upbringing, and his duty and honour as a mage. He could not leave. He had to stay here and do all he could to stop the coming unslaught. If that meant he had to sacrifice his own life, then so be it, he thought grimly.
He had been rather naive and foolish in his trust of Arnand, but he had done one good thing: rendered himself invisible. That could be of significant advantage. Coming away from the window, he raised his arm and called forth a wraith to guard the door against the undead. If he was going to have to fight the undead, he would fight fire with fire, he thought grimly.
He turned around and looked at the lich. This was what had to be destroyed for them to have any hope of winning. Estarriol crept around the side of the lich (for he would not call it Arnand), preparing to begin his attack. But then, in the corner of his eye he saw a group of people with Kenjatsu passing the wraith and falling down in an ungraceful pile on the floor. He rolled over to Kenjatsu quickly and whispered in his ear.
"Kenjatsu, it is, me, Estarriol. We must unify our attack on the lich to have any hope of winning."
OOC: Don't forget that I am currently invisible. And now would be a bad time to be away on a holiday or something, Perapsam.
