The hair and beard make him look too much like a middle eastern terrorist. I think the ears are a bit over sized as well; making them a little too cartoonish. Though all in all, I'm really happy to see that there has been more artistic design that really differentiates the 10 races thus far. I can't wait to play with the new character creation system!!!

I don't think so. The daedric weapons (blades) always had something of a serrated edge. Those blades look pretty smoothe. I can see where you're coming from though.

Regarding the screenshot, looks fantastic, and I can definitely see the morrowind dunmer's features here. Can't wait for more shots of different races!

EDIT: Just had another look and I couldn't be more wrong, however I still don't think they look daedric.

Just wanted to check whether it has been released and now it is!

Damn it look so awesome, I always played a Dunmer but the ones on Oblivion made me a bit sad. So I was thinking about playing a Nord in Skyrims since it's their homeland but now I'm sure about my race. It will indeed be a dunmer again, damnit, just awesome.
But he definitely has to change his hair style, that's high elf stuff! ^^
So now they only have to implement this rough voice and everything is fine.

So, what else can we learn from that screen? He seems to dual weild this dagger which seems to be deadric, looks awesome and the castle in the back looks great as well, wondering where it is. And something I just had to think about, the damn moon looks like it's bloodmoon! But shouldn't be to hyped about since I think it's only choosen for the atmosphere.

Overall, gJ Bethesda, can't waiting seeing this stuff in action next week, thanks good for my press card

€dit: Something I just noticed, why he doesn't have red eyes? Maybe it's changeable during the character creation ...

Consider yourself lucky.... I have always played a Nord... now with all of the new character designs, I am already thinking that it will take me at least 1 to 2 hours at the beginning of the game to determine what I will be.... [censored] IT :swear:

It's the facial expression that does it to his eyes probably, you could see the same thing happen in FO3 for NPCs looking angry when they had small'ish eyes. I don't think the eyes are meant to be asian-like.

The Dunmer's art style is based around eastern culture so it's good that he does look Asian.

I'm very impressed by this! Any criticism about the appearance I might have, I know I could fix in the Character Creator, so... It looks great. There's a huge amount of detail on the face, the background fits with the "dark elf" feel of the screenshot, the daggers look like actual daggers, and.. there's an aurora borealis! Amazing!

Like I said I can notice some features on the blade that resembled previous daedric weapons, but, I had a different idea of what they would look like in Skyrim.

Probably not to be fair. They have been testing everything on the Xbox, so it's most likely that. I could be wrong though.

My best guess is that if this is an Xbox shot, the PC version will look slightly better. If it's a PC shot, then it isn't all that bad at all really. Damn good. Damn damn damn damn damn damn damn...good.

I agree, I didn't play as a Dunmer on Oblivion because the race was portrayed as an ugly-blue elf. I love Skyrim's Dunmer! Can't wait for some Argonian screenshots though.
