looks kinda weird with a beard...

Lots of Dunmer have beards. In fact, http://images.uesp.net/7/7d/MW-npc-Divayth_Fyr.jpg has one...

Love the aurora effect in the sky!

Aurora in Skyrim make sense too, as these are more frequent the closer you get to the north or south poles.

You'll have tons of hairstyles to choose from, you know that?

OT: I've just recovered my faith on Bethesda importing the best traits from Morrowind to Skyrim. It seems they weren't bluffing after all :)

Yeah... I knew that.

Why not? He was already 4000 years old in Morrowind's events. What's a little more than 200 years for him? ^^

Yes, I hope to see him in an actual battle.

He would be epic, with the new magic effects available in Skyrim, and his power.

I hope to see "enemy boss"/"friendly hero" characters in battle with unique spells, or epic battle styles, to keep players who watch them in a wow-trance.

For instance in a scene the players can join and watch a fight between Divayth Fyr and a powerful enemy boss, and have to help Fyr win the battle.

It would be great.

It'd be certainly be like greeting a long-lost friend which you shared good times in the past. I agree it'd be pretty epic :)

I'm happy they finally released the screenshot.

But lol, I can't believe I look at those 3 comparison screenshots and Morrowind's is still the best! Haha!

I LOVE the swords, amazing artistry

I think the Dunmer looks pretty cool - they've decided to focus on the DARK aspect of the dark elf, which is totaly understandable

Dark elf was my fave in ES4, not sure I'd choose it this time round though, purely based on that appearance

Can't wait to play around with how you can get them to look though

Hopefully their skin is a little bit greyer and their eyes a little bit redder in game. I'm hoping this is just the character creation that changed it.

Just wanted to check whether it has been released and now it is!

Damn it look so awesome, I always played a Dunmer but the ones on Oblivion made me a bit sad. So I was thinking about playing a Nord in Skyrims since it's their homeland but now I'm sure about my race. It will indeed be a dunmer again, damnit, just awesome.
But he definitely has to change his hair style, that's high elf stuff! ^^
So now they only have to implement this rough voice and everything is fine.

So, what else can we learn from that screen? He seems to dual weild this dagger which seems to be deadric, looks awesome and the castle in the back looks great as well, wondering where it is. And something I just had to think about, the damn moon looks like it's bloodmoon! But shouldn't be to hyped about since I think it's only choosen for the atmosphere.

Overall, gJ Bethesda, can't waiting seeing this stuff in action next week, thanks good for my press card :D

€dit: Something I just noticed, why he doesn't have red eyes? Maybe it's changeable during the character creation ...

Looks pretty awesome even though I'm hell freaked out by the size of his brow muscles.

Also, don't know if anyone else has said this, but it appears that he is in Solitude and the armour might be from the Dark Brotherhood (note the hand-like symbol on the lower torso (could be for the black hand)).

Oh, and daedric weaponry.

Obviously chosen to appeal to Morrowind fans, pity the studded armour looks like vanilla MW. Really jars with the detail on the face and weapons. Oh, and loving the gnarly eyebrows.
