If the Dwemer had Survived, (Another one of my art pieces)

Post » Fri Oct 07, 2011 5:49 pm

Here is a link to my newest painting. It wasn't originally meant to be even related to TES but the more I started painting and applying colors it reminded me of the Dwemer and their technology. This is mainly as a painting for smiles and laughs, don't take it seriously. I don't wish Skyrim to have guns and crap like that so take it with a grain of salt. But what if the Dwemer had survived? What if they never vanished? Would there be Dwemer Battle Armor in Skyrim? Anywho, here is my painting of Dwemer Battle Armor.

have fun with it, I did.

The helmet looks a bit to halo-ish imo, other than that, good job!

Thanks man. Spent a bit of time on this one. Started out as a goofy looking speed painting and then just started developing shapes and adding detail. Wasn't even exactly sure where I was going with it at first LOL. Just painting as I go. Could you imagine taking down a dragon in mid flight with those jet packs? rofl! Oh the hilarity.

Love the symmetry - keep up the awesome stuff!

Also, I really like the lightning you did in 'Warlock.'

Very cool! I wish these kinds of steam-punk would get more attention in games and movies, but with serious lore! The Dwemer would definitely have become this advanced if they had survived and prospered. :)

I think it fits the theme of the dwemer really well. I also like the symmetry.

Honestly it made me think of the big yellow gatekeeper dude in Thor. I forget his name. He was a bad mamma jamma.

That's [censored]in' badass, man. Dwemer technology is actually my favorite thing about TES. It is my hope that Bethesda one day develops a TES game based entirely around the Dwemer, and their machines.

Maybe what happened to the Dwemer is they were transported as a race to another dimension.... then they created rapture and plasmids. Oh crap, I sent this link to Pete Hines and Gstaff.... I hope they find the humor in that lol.

It's quite nice. You might want to practice on depth and perspective, but the idea is brilliant. Practice makes perfect :)

maybe, would be awesome if what happened was that they accidentally created a new "realm" neither daedric nor aedric and prospered in that new world.

haha thanks. Yeah, there are a lot of things I need to practice. Honestly I only started painting (and I mean ever) like 4-6 months ago? I don't practice every day either and when I started painting I hadn't done art since high school :\. I should have stayed with it but I gave up in high school. I wasn't focused. I have a lot of catching up to do and a lot of learning.

@nightcobra That is an interesting concept, sort of like Mankar C. when he created paradise?

pretty much, imagine it...a steampunkish world full of dwemer like an utopia of science and technology.

i'd buy a DLC adventure that would let me into that kind of world :P
