Okay, in case you didn't notice take a look at http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1067403.

So it seems quite permanent that I have lost access to Fallout 3. Which means, I will be unable to work on this mod for the time being and if my expactations are correct, I won't be able to play Fallout 3 until I get out of the army, which can be anywhere from January to July 2011.

Therefore, in case this situation is ongoing without end, I have to nominate someone else as the leader of this mod.

We got a replacement video card so there is some hope. And even if it won't run Fallout 3, I will be able to fully use the G.E.C.K. and thus make this mod.

So, for the time being, alert cancelled and proceeding to caution status.

I just passed a major hurdle :cake: :foodndrink: :hehe: I found out what was wrong with the second quest (turns out someone cant script :slap: ) and now I need to fix what I did to try and fix that person's error (coughPistolerocough).

P.S. You did pretty good, just that you left out something very important in every script you wrote.

P.P.S. Sorry if I seem angry, but I spent ages trying to fix the problem, but to no avail.

Well, I've said it many times that I'm not a professional scripter. If I were, this mod would have been released in August.


And, if you ever feel like it, I'd like to know what I was missing. You know, you can't fix something before you know what it is.

As promised, an update.

I have done some tweaking to the first quest so it would work smoothly (do you guys even test the mod?), and now the only thing I need to do in the second quest is
-Make a sidequest to get information about dad's whereabouts from the ghouls
-Finish the last objective (as in, get the scene to work)

Then the second quest will be finished and it's on to the third, hoozah!

Also what happens after the purifier?

5 Main quests, 2 sidequests for start. When they are made, there will be as many quests as we can make.
After purifier, you return to the Enclave, you are promoted and you get to whoop BoS and remnants of it.

Well Dad is no longer initially disabled, so you can skip a couple of objectives, after talking to him he will walk inside PPurity then disable himself until needed, when entering the purifier the objective 'Checkout the Sub base" or something like that has been changed so you have to kill all the mutants inside PPurity (the ones inside the purifier room are killed if the conditions are right), then you can walk into the purifier room and the quest ends, because I can't get that last scene to work, I'll let you or Foxtrot handle that. Oh, and I moved Adam back to his correct position.
I've also been organising our scripts so you can find all the scripts needed for that quest in the quest script, and started working on the third quest as of this edit :).

I don't have enough creativity to create a side quest, so that'll be up to you guys as well. I've decided I'll just move on to the third.

P.S. How many people would donate money if we added that as an option (when the mod is released)? Possibly even another mod/extensions to this one, depending on our success and how much fun we have with it, and other things that I won't mention.

We will discuss if we will do a Broken Steel add-on after this mod is finished and released, and if so, what it will include.

All mods and work put to mods are property of Bethesda softworks and thus you can't commercialize mods, even if they money will be spent on mod development. Or so have I understood :)

Sure. That would fit in the post-main quest thing. Taking control over cities. "Assimilate or die."


EDIT: It appears that the whole start of the third quest is completely [censored] up. It worked perfectly when I did and tested it. Now it's buggy and made my game CTD. I'm going to redo the original scripts to it.
EDIT2: I'm trying to clean the mess. I'm not getting CTD again but the stages are changing with very absurd manners. Third quest's stage 10 was set in like 3 spots.

I'll get the third quest working as it was meant to and move to the purifier scene after that.

EDIT3: Today I achieved the following things:
- Fixed glitched hallway in Raven Rock Training Room. The problem was that a door was connected to a normal hall block, instead of an EndExSm block.
- Fixed Adam the slaver kid
- Fixed Dad's packages
- Fixed third quest's start stages.
- Fixed Alexander's double forcegreet
- Removed "Note From Dad" being added to player three times.

Tomorrow I will do the following:
- Have door out of Memorial locked during the whole scene inside it.
- Fix Dad not entering Jefferson, and mumbling random dialogues. (Caused by me)
- Fix EMQ03's stage 15 not triggering after getting Dad's second note
- Fix Weatherly's key box not being owned by anyone (thus looting it isn't a crime now)


We need to decide one thing.
How are we going to do the "clear out Jefferson Memorial" thing.
First when I did it, all you had to do was to enter the sub-level, reach a certain spot and that made the sub-level "checked" and next stage fired.
Now, it appears one of you made killing the mutants a condition of next stage firing.
Sure, but that means the next stage will be triggered by both conditions. You kill muties or go to the certain point. Of course the latter fires first, because there are muties beyond the point.
And amusingly, neither one of the conditions work. :lol:
So, cast in votes.
I didn't like the idea of having to clear out the muties because:
1) Lone Wanderer, who is in the purifier too like in vanilla, would have done it already.
2) Colonel Autumn and his gang arrived just like in vanilla. There is a single Enclave soldier dead, but that is just to give the player a set of power armor.
3) There is no number three!


Oh, and I playtested the first quest and it works like a charm. Great job guys!

Hmm, I guess you're correct. Afterall, FOOK does it too from what I understand.

Sure.
We could also make a Deathclaw companion to this, to replace Fawkes which you naturally can't recruit in this mod.

He should be a talking deathclaw then, like back in California.
It would increase the "Enclave Fawkes" style.

We need a good scenario for this. Like, if Enclave was going to dispose the Deathclaw, but you save him and he would swear loyalty to you.
Or something like that.

Honestly, that sounds really awsome! The only flaw is (on my part) is that I hate the Enclave, I would much rather mod the Brotherhood Of Steel and make the citadel like raven rock or something. But I cant say I would not get this mod for a screw around profile.
