As far as kidnapping someone, how about Sarah Lyons? She could simply be patrolling somewhere along with several BoS troops; maybe checking in on GNR? Considering her relationship with Elder Lyons, the Enclave would have a major advantage; as long as she was alive, that is. The only problem is that I don't think there are any voiced lines with her that could be made to fit a kidnapping scenario...
Just a thought from a guy that'll be really happy to see this finished. The vanilla opening sequence is getting kinda bland... this'd be just the thing to spice it up. The proposed quest line? Well, that just makes it better. Hope to see this when it's done(ish).
On the whole kidnapping thing, there is absolutely no reason the Enclave would do something like that. The Enclave has taken prisoners, but only if they can be useful by working for the Enclave. Not for political reasons.
Or you could kidnap the squire if you want to be really evil. Tell him that you need his help on a super secret mission. This would be with a speech check or the Child at Heart perk, of course. Maybe you can increase your chances by giving him a gun?
As with the above, the Enclave doesn't kidnap people just for the sake of it. It murders, plunders and exterminates. Three Wastelanders have joined the Enclave (The Chosen One, Anna Holt & Stiggs) but none have been kidnapped.
BoS does not have enough manpower for one man's rescue mission, even if you kidnap Elder Lyons himself.
Yes. Brotherhood lacks all the manpower to do anything. They said it themselves. Liberty Prime was the only reason they came out of the Citadel in the first place.
Of course, this conflicts with the fact that Brotherhood attacks Jefferson in this mod, but it was the most logical solution I could find.
Then what can be more important than PPurity? How about staging a special meeting with the West Coast BoS, which are "proposing" to re-establish all connections? I think that can take priority...
No way the Western Brotherhood would cooperate with the Enclave. In Fallout 2, for one, the Enclave invaded a Brotherhood bunker, massacred the people inside and the Brotherhood would never help the Enclave anyway, judging by that the BoS is well aware of what the Enclave is aiming at.
That would do it. But I think it should respect the original FO3 storyline
Indeed but also Fallout 2 storyline.
Wait, is this after the events of the MQ or when the Enclave gets to PPurity for the first time (and your dad kills himself)?
This is confusing indeed.
IDK if this has been asked or not... or even suggested... but are you going to be able to pick what story you play before you start, so you don't have to disable the mod whenever you wanna play the main game, if you were not going to do this I would suggest you do due to the fact that a lot of people would be annoyed by having to disable the mod just to play the regular age... anyway it was just a suggestion... and I look forward to the final product!
P.S. I don't have much modding experience and i would like some... so if I can help in any way Email me or PM me! I am also willing to Alpha/Beta test, a lough I think that you already got that covered... by the people...
Thanks,
Nick
No, you can't pick what storyline you wish to play.
This mod is the first of its kind and probably the last.
Building the mod required disabling much of the original storyline to make TEHL work. So even if we tweaked the start of the game, you still couldn't complete the vanilla storyline since scripts have been removed and changed to match with TEHL's quests.
Another Suggestion is that... if it is even possible... to have the ability to make the Loan Wander be and exact replica of the one in one of your save games... that updates him whenever you play on him... I know my suggestions are prolly a lot of work, and if you don't find them to be important or even good, no hard feelings. Any-who, I think that would be really cool.
P.S. See my last P.S. XD
Srry bout the double post XC
Good Luck,
Nick
It is impossible to do that. 100%.
So that's a "no".
So what's the problem? The Brotherhood didn't know yet that the scientists were in PPurity again and to not notify them, the Enclave took a little detour with the Vertibirds so they won't fly over the citadel...
It was a plot hole I was ready to take. Indeed, the Brotherhood didn't know that James is back. However, to make the storylines match, I had to send someone to inform the Brotherhood. I picked Dr. Li for this task. Thus the Brotherhood arrived at the nick of time when James did his suicide attack.
