Kyntak, the link in your signature doesn't work anymore.

And because I'm very annoying; do you have a time window on when the Beta will pop out?

Cheers, I'll fix that; and we have no time frame on a BETA release. Sorry.

EDIT: Fixed the link :).

Wow. I decided to play through the 4th quest so far; I hate to tease you guys, but it's epic. There isn't much to it, only 2 or 3 objectives so far, but it's sooooooo epic. I guess that's where it gets its name from ("The Plot Thickens").

Hey Pistolero , could you post some pictures of the Inside or Raven Rock?? For some reason, when I try to play this mod, dad keeps getting stuck, so I am always left at the 1st level...

I would like to explore and see Raven Rock though :)

Thanks

Well, there is not much to see besides the 3 pics I just posted. But I can help you with your problem, if you provide us some screenshots for instance.

my friend i may allways be with Lyons Brotherhood but, hell i tried this out earlier today and well im going to vote you for mod of the month! keep it up!!

Cheers! :)

And because I'm very annoying; do you have a time window on when the Beta will pop out?

Shouldn't take too long. 4th quest will be a short one and quest 5 is almost directly copied from Take it Back!

However, I am uncertain on what we should do in quest 4. You return to Raven Rock, meet with Eden and listen to Colonel Johnson's big plan in the War Room..

Then what?

We talked about having Liberty Prime attack Raven Rock but I don't know if it made any sense. Rothchild activated it not until it was very much necessary and it still doesn't work properly. And as the Brotherhood just kicked Enclave ass at Jefferson I don't see why they would risk LP by sending it against the enemy HQ in the first time it's actually doing something.

Yet we need something to fill quest 4. But what? Something that is cool but also something that makes sense and is not too complex.

I've almost completed the War Room scene, after finding a useless package that Johnson had which prevented him from moving to the War Room. It should work now.

Testing......

EDIT: Nope, Johnson still persists to walk to nowhere, despite me deleting all those useless packages. Pistolero, do you know what i making him walk away form the War Room and toward nowhere?

No I don't know.
Check if there are any "Must Complete" flags in packages.

Now I know I am not part of your dev team but here is an idea.
The fourth quest could be you going undercover to gather intelligence of the "secret" weapon rumor (Liberty prime) that the brother hood has. I mean you can't go to war without the intel on your enemy. And since the enclave never finds out what the weapon is (Liberty Prime) you could be sabatoged during your mission and have to abort before you get the intel on LP.
PS: If you like this idea you can always ask me for more ideas. Not for special treatment, I would just like to help.

The player infiltrates the Brotherhood in quest 3. That means the player also sees the robot. So no for intel missions :(
But, feel free to post ideas. I've failed in making good stuff for the 4th quest, so the best shot from you guys wins.

So the fourth quest is AFTER the Brotherhood takes back JM?

I could come up with a couple of things.

Spoiler

1. You don't see the schism of Autumn and Eden much in this game. Why not, in the fourth quest, Autumn supporters (since he's dead, and they would be somewhat pissed) try to take Raven Rock? You have to help shut down the Rebellion. Of course, the choice to join the Autumn supporters would be nice but I don't think you guys want to do that.
2. The "great plan" is to force wastelanders to fight against the Brotherhood. You could go to any small town, even one you guys make, and basically tell the inhabitants "if you want to live, you'll fight." This could even branch off from my first idea. Eden notices we just killed half of our forces. (But you guys might already have the plan worked out)
3. You're thrust into a team to sabotage some of PPs defenses.
4. You have to go find a cash of weapons. Maybe take it from the Outcasts?
5. You try and turn some of the Outcasts into traitors who fight for the Enclave.
6. Just a simple "say your last goodbyes" kind of scenario.

I could think of more, but eh. I'd think it's hard to make a storyline full of bells and whistles in just five quests. If you guys had eleven like Bethesda's MQ I could've thrown in some more ideas. Some of those ideas were just a "why not" type of thing.

Nice ideas :) Kyntak shall write them down.
Some comments:

1) There are no "Autumn's supporters". The soldiers were merely under Autumn's control, and ever since FO2 Enclave soldiers have blindly obeyed their superiors no matter what the task is. But of course, you don't have to infect Project Purity with FEV. You need to kill Johnson if you don't want to do it, though.
5) Good one. This would go well for anti-FEV players who want to just rule the wasteland following Autumn's ideas.

Anyone can do voice work. But the following criteria must be met:

1) Has a good microphone (no background voices)
2) Has HONESTLY a good voice or at least adequate.
3) No overacting.
4) No strong non-American accents.

Kyntak, the whole EMQ03-4 transition is broken.

Do you have any clues what you had done before it broke? It worked just fine last time I did it.

EDIT3: Looks better... The scientists work now, but with annoying delays. The "Go get the Colonel" package for the other scientist works as intended now, with Johnson arriving in the right time.
The whole package works now without console commands. With a few extra scripts, altered timers and package conditions I assume we will have this fixed by tomorrow.

EDIT: Oh, transition. Only parts of that worked for me, but I moved a setstage to make the PC wear the enclave suit instead of it being placed in the locker, it still worked but suddenly started failing.

Sorry 'bout the mess I was finding things related to the quest after I had made changes. I thought about just deleting my version and startin again- but I did make some progress.

1. Where exactly was the war room located? If it was located in raven rock, then maybe a mission tied to adams airforce base. Maybe sending the battle plan to a high ranking official stationed in the base. The point for this would be because the majority of the Enclaves vertibirds are stationed here. And they will require the vertibirds for the battle plan. (If it is a battle plan at all.)

2. Your given the mission to assassinate some important targets of the Brotherhood of Steel with a small elite unit. The targets could be caravans that are supplying the BoS, Three Dog, considering he is mocking President Eden himself and he is a main contributor to the BoS and is the Voice of the BoS. This will help Edens message to get through and help stop the support of the BoS. Other targets could be BoS Scribes.

3. Your mission is to deliver weapons, and ammunition to a small Enclave settlement to the east. The base is under heavy attack from BoS soldiers and is running low on ammunition. The reason it is so important is because they have captured an enemy spy, who has information on the BoS. After you bring the supplies, you are attacked again. During the attack The head Officer of the settlement gives you the order to escort the spy through the base to the other side where a vertibird is located. He gives you this order because the base will not hold out much longer and you need that spy's information. Once you get to the to the Vertibird and you are flown to raven rock were the interrigations of the spy will begin.

Plausible, three dog has to be dealt with one way or another, but I don't think forcing the player to assassinate a certain target is a good idea. Maybe the PC gets to chose who to kill. Yeah, sounds good; we'll see how it goes.

Also plausible, though tedious. I wouldn't mind doing it, but we'll see if Pistolero wants to create and fully navmesh another area :P

No problem. It worked once so it can work again. :)

BTW we should really start deciding what will happen in EMQ04.
Some conditions:

1) The quest must be related to the Enclave's assault against the Brotherhood
2) The quest must not allow the play exterminate all BoS defenses at once.
3) It must make sense.

Well by making sense I mean something that can be explained well. Army of deathclaws attacking Raven Rock doesn't make sense, for one.

Ok, we have decided on another quest to deal with V101. Sorting out the minor details right now :).

EDIT: I'm very impressed with my iTouch; I'm using the full version of thevsite and usually it crashes safari, but so far it's doing great :D.

Darn, no BS resources. Then my base attack plan will have to have a change. I was thinking of a cool flying away scene at the end of the quest when you are sitting in the vertibird next to your prisioner. (But this would require the models used in BS when you fly away after calling a satelite strike onto Adams airforce base or........ the citadel.) This could be changed to scripting the vertibird to be activated by simply clicking on it, this would give you the choice of 'exit Vertibird' and "fly to raven rock' (No fly scene just being teleported there.)

I agree, being forced to assassinate a certain person is a bad idea.

No BS content in the main version? Are you planning to make a BS version?

Does PC lose it's BoS infiltration position at some point? that could be used if not.
For example you could smuggle a bomb to GNR. If you just kill Three Dog, that 'old lady palmer sound alike' starts running GRN.

Maybe could try to trick BoS to send most of their troops in the middle of nowhere. That is the only more or less tactical way I can think of to assault anything. (especially Proj.Purity which is behind all BoS guards from enclave point of view).

Smuggling a bomb into GNR and blowing it up is out of the question, but feel free to kill Three Dog at any time :P.

How would one go about doing that? An Enclave official can't just walk in and say "PPurity is actually a couple of hundred miles to the west of where you though it was."

How about having a quest where you hunt down and kill one of Lyon's pride as he is on a solo mission, take his armor and pretend to be him? Then you manipulate your way into making the BoS sending most of their troops to go knows where (maybe plant false information on a fake location of an Enclave Base).

We already have a "get BoS armour to infiltrate the pentagon" quest so it would be a little repetitive. Besides, my point was the BoS know where PPurity is and they know that the Enclave is at PPurity, so there really isn't much room for deception there.
