THE EAGLE HAS LANDED
Which basically is.. Fallout 3's Main Questline told from the Enclave's perspective.

^ Nexus page

You were born in 2258, the very same year when the Lone Wanderer was born in Jefferson Memorial. Your father is Captain Lucas Kaine and your mother is Captain Chloe Kaine. You like every child born to the Enclave have one sole purpose: to serve your country: to serve your president and his goals. No questions asked. To restore America to what it once was, to what it is meant to become again for the time to come.

You live the first ten years of your life being reared by your parents and by the Enclave like any other child in Raven Rock. The next nine years will pass as well until something dramatic happens.. When patrolling outside Raven Rock with your good friend Alexander Johnson you'll hear a tragic radio message: "Raven Rock, this is Sgt. Moore reporting. We're detecting severe damage to the vertibird carrying Captain Kaine. We cannot establish communication. Rotors have received red damage, I repeat rotors of the vertibird carrying Captain Kaine are at red damage level. Crash imminent, over!" A few seconds pass. "Raven Rock, Sgt. Moore reporting in, vertibird carrying Captain Kaine has disappeared over Paradise Falls. Possible hostiles in that area. Cannot contact Captain Kaine or the rest of his crew, over." You will leave your post search for your father.

[Spoilers start from here!]

Search for your father starts without any remarkable success. You will visit Paradise Falls, and recieve only minor information, telling you that your father is heading south, towards D.C. Where from there? Your only option is to rely on the local ghoul population for information. And they are not going to just give it out. Helping ghouls? Hmm.. I'm pretty sure Uncle Eden wouldn't like that, now, would he? As ultimately you find out where your father went, things are getting hot. The Enclave has assaulted Jefferson Memorial, where this so-called "Purity Project" is being led from. Tragic death of your father and having to escape incoming Brotherhood assault, you will head into the wasteland. What now?

Narrowly rescued by your childhood friend, your last choice is to continue where your now-dead father stopped. You recieve a clue and with that head to Rivet City, where your father worked on infiltrating Project Purity. A note reveals that the Project lacks a G.E.C.K., and the Enclave knows the location of one. However, due to complications related to your father's disappearance, James' sudden emergence and failures in communication, the Enclave had to rush it. Therefore you must search for the G.E.C.K. The note also reveals that the Brotherhood of Steel also might be in possession of one, so you have to infiltrate it. Your path leads to Vault 87, where you have to co-operate with your nemesis, the Lone Wanderer, to recover the G.E.C.K.
Getting the G.E.C.K. would prove easy as it is, but getting away with it will not...

You will fall into a trap set by the Lone Wanderer who takes the G.E.C.K. However, you will be rescued by the Enclave (too late to stop LW though) and you are shipped to Raven Rock for interrogations. They aren't exactly happy about your whereabouts: Deserted, not contacting superiors, fleeing from battle.. However, you have done remarkable job in the search for the G.E.C.K. so you are given one last shot.. By President Eden himself..

[Spoilers end here]

The "big idea" of this mod is simply to allow you to join the Enclave without having to rely on pretending and imagination. You will also have plenty of time to explore the Wasteland, allowing a similar game to what you have seen in for example AS-R. You will start as an NCO, be promoted to a full officer late in the main quest, and ultimately to a Colonel and President. The path to presidency will be set after the main questline, and will deal with removing opposition by different means. You will also get to decide the fate of the Wasteland: A pro-FEV way of Pure-Strain supremacy, or Autumnist, a more humane approach. Taking models from Tranquality Lane, the best scenario would include a more or less total reconstruction project for some parts of the Wasteland.

The mod will include post-MQ activities as well. Simple deeds, such as BoS respawns and miniquests.

What this mod actually does?

+ Whole new Main Quest from the Enclave's point of view.
+ New NPCs
+ New armor and weapons
+ New locations
+ New, interesting sidequests
+ Will be completely compatible with your favourite mods, like FOOK, MMM and Enclave Commander.
+ Mod will be also a modders' resource when finished, so everyone can make their own plug-ins to run with the actual masterfile.

MOD PROGRESS:
Main Quest: 70% (Total 5 quests, 3 fully working)
Post-MQ: 0% (To keep player busy. Only primitive models as of now)
Side Quests: 65% (Only two planned at the moment - 1 Finished)
Misc: 25% (Perks, new locations, new armor, loadscreens etc.)

The progress percentages are calulated by estimations. Zero was when I made the first post of thread 1, and 100% is when I can finally release a working BETA. After that, more percentages such as Voicing appears and Side Quests, Misc and Post-MQ are expanded.

******************

Post ideas. As usual. As I have stated before, I will continue with this mod in my personal use so long as I can. When I simply stop at achieving things, I will release what I've done so far and let pros take care of the rest - Those that want that is.

This part of the quest deals with picking up your father's trail. It will take you to Rivet City, Pentagon and ultimately Vault 87.

Voicing up an overhaul is nothing that happens in an instant. So yes, it is meant to be mute for now.

I LOVE YOU GUYS! THIS MOD IS AMAZING :)

Only one problem. I can't hear any of the characters speaking. Is it just scripted?
I mean, I heard you saying earlier that there would be an emergency broadcast....But my Pipboy doesn't play it :(

Okay, I have finished the quest, here are some minor bugs that I found...
1) Mom's Terminal - Code:Yellow - You instead of your
2) Raven Rock Training - Mum bugged in the ramp, Johnson speaking through Enclave soldiers
3) When killing the ghoul he was bugged till I get him to like 25% when he finally started fighting.
4) Emergency siNgal instead of siGnal
5) Alexander running away after leaving Raven Rock, how come, he said noone is allowed to leave Raven Rock otherwise he is going to get irradiated etc. (and he still ran here)
6) An American Hero - the museum part -> marker on Willow tough it has nothing to do with her; player have to guess that he is actually meant to speak with the other ghoul there
7) ^ - No marker for Jefferson (could be useful for orientation through metro)
8) ^ - No quest update after the Purifier part, I had to reload the game to get Quest update, also, LW dissapeared hell fast for a human...
9) Near Megaton, there is a table with pure water, but noone arround, I guess it should be shown later in the quest? (remember that Enclave first appeared after the things at the Purifier)

Overally, it wasn't that bad (for an Alpha), but I think it was quite hard (ie. getting from point A to B), even tough I was playing on Very Easy without FWE or other mods (I'm playing for story, not breaking my nerves with the game too hard haha). The quests relly too much on the length of transportation for me, no choices included (quality > quantity, remember :DD).
Also, I'd add some better beginning immersion, ie. something like the classic start.
Btw, it was quite laggy after starting the new game, but I assume it's just because I forget to turn Boinc off.

That's all for now.
The quests could be done a bit less lengthy -> it doesn't add any quality when the quest consist 99% of traveling time.
Keep up the good work :)

I have found a bug...

Right after you talk to dad in the very 1st level as a kid, you cant move at all. I cant do anything but crouch. is there a command I can use to bypass this?. I cant move to the dresser to get my clothes and I cant get talk to mom to go to the next level.

I also noticed that dad tries to move but gets stuck while in front of mom. does he need to leave the room in order to continue playing? Because he is stuck.

Thanks.

Oh, forget to mention that the quest stages and descriptions should BE LOT more understandable, ie. I really don't know what to do when he it says Read note and do what it says, and I'm supposed to take another note at Citadel gate? Wtf? You know what I mean?

Problems noted. Thank you.

2) Easily solved bugs.
3) Yes I found this rather badly implemented.
5) Leaving their posts. Not Raven Rock. The idea was that Alex just went running towards their patrol post. You were just leaving Raven Rock when the message appeared.
6) Indeed, the player has to guess, but you really have to be a little vacant on the head not to realize that this new guy has something to do with the mod :P Will change the quest marker though. it was definitely not left by me.
7) This was something I and many others hate in the main game. You are told everything. I try to avoid quest markers to force the players to think themselves.
8) LW is a bit bugged. That is true. On the objectives, I have never had the need to reload. However, did you wait for James to die? His "Run.. Run!" line triggers the next stage (objective).
9) This was an experiment I was trying and forgot to remove. I will do that and upload next version when I get other fixes done.

On quality>quantity, it depends on taste. I have always liked slow, traveling quests rather than the Blitzkrieg quests in vanilla. And I didn't find these quests hard at all. In fact, I find them just as ridiculously easy as the vanilla "look how LP kills everyone" quests.
But yes, you do have a point in there that some people may find the traveling parts annoying. We will probably expand the quests to include something else, too.

And of course, if you don't like it, I am always open to better ideas.

Weird. I've playtested the first quest like 40+ times and never even heard of this.
Well, try enableplayercontrols.

8) Yeah, he said Run...Run! but nothing other then LW disappearance happened.

By hard, I don't mean they are hard in the core, but the traveling from RR to Paradise Falls on level 2 for example is quite hard (every meter there is a group of either rats or the flying bloats or wtf, and when I have passed them a raider with flamethrower appeared, bah).

I don't say that travelling is bad, but going through 1/4 of map, than 1/2 map, than nearly the whole map (Citadel -> 87 trip...) is just too much for me. Those routes also usually goes through not populated places so no side quests you could do...we'll see at final anyways. What I'm trying to say is finding balance between boredom at traveling and the blitzkrieg of classic F3. Neither is really good (atleast at my opinion).
For the difficulty...well, everyone is different, I enjoy quests and story more then the stress of reloading five times in a row, as I'm not as a good shoot (VATS? haha, maybe 50% hp of one enemy, what about the 2,5 enemies left)... I, for myself, didn't found classic quests hard or easy, they were a good combination... Also, I have usually done more things (side quests etc.) in the meantime so I was already loaded with ammo, skills and gunz :)

I see your point and I understand. However, we need to first get the main quests finished before thinking how nice doing them is. For now, as long as they make sense, is enough for me.

But getting to P-Falls at level 2 is really fun for me. Especially with FWE

At least not where Gray says he will (I've searched the mall, and underworld, and the museum of history, and I can't find him anywhere)

I'm afraid there are no new textures for Ghouls here. I may have been using mods that edit their textures, but none are found here.

Fred and his militants should be there. They are there from day 1 in the game and are not removed until the quest is over.

Alpha :ahhh:

Going to try it out. Guess it's time to make a new character. Again. For the third time this week.

I remember you started this back when the fanclub was still alive :[

ALSO: What are the chances of this being made to have more than 5 quests some time after the actual release? If you need ideas, plenty of people here have them :[

The 5 'main' quests just catch up on wasteland canon - there WILL be more.

Thanks to everyone reporting problems and offering suggestions. If our dialouge writing svcks ass (which it does) don't refrain from helping us out.

I could help with dialogue if you need somebody.

Alright, just finished the first part and I've got some problems and suggestions:

-Problems-
Was the radio broadcast supposed to have a voice? I saw somebody did a recording for it, but I didn't hear anything/see any subtitles. Just sat there until that one NPC talked to me.

-Suggestions-
I know it's minor, but could you maybe add some Enclave soldiers walking around (even if it's just two) that first part of the base you see? Just to make it feel a little more alive.
The random open space in the armory; maybe add a little bit? Crates, shelves, soldiers anything. This is also minor.
Since there's no birth scene, maybe add one more childhood stage? Could even be a tutorial for the basics of the game (not like anybody playing with mods (normally) wouldn't know these). Just to add more to it.

That's all I've got right now. I might add more later. It's pretty good so far, and this is just Alpha.

Argh, I completely forget about this.
The base at the start needs update...walking soldiers, more furniture or so, the armory is just plain room... you know, rule no. 1 Immersion, immersion and immersion :)
