The Easter Egg of Brink

Post » Sat Apr 23, 2011 8:22 am

i was playing sp on the PS3 and unlocked the audio logs. now, as many of you recall, that Ark was built to sustain itself so that human kind could live on forever.

while listening to the logs, there was one in particular that caught my eye. it was by one of the founders. and in it contained a biblical passage. and thats when it hit me.

the Ark=Noah's Ark. and instead of 40 days and 40 nights, it was 40 years.

ARK=A Random act of Kindness.

the founders built the ark for saving human kind from destruction. Noah built his ark for the same purpose, but included animals of all kinds.

and that my friends, is what the Ark really means. even if you did know, this is a pretty neat idea nonetheless.

EDIT: to put things strait for the :flamethrower: ers, i knew this months before hand. the audio logs just confirmed it

relax nubs. no need to get excited. knew this would attract flamers. :flamethrower:

no, i didn't need audio logs or whatnot to figure this out. but it was officially confirmed by those. it was just something that i thought i might share with the community for those that didn't know. if you have a problem with it: http://static.black-frames.net/images/there-s-the-door_.jpg

Puberty is quite exciting, especially once you realize the purpose of your third leg.

The Venus Project.
Please look it up.

EDIT: I look like a spambot. The Venus Project is where the Ark got it's designs from. First, I doubted, but after playing the campaign I'm 100% sure.

Wouldn't this be considered a spoiler? I know I saw something that says "NO SPOILERS" on the discussion thread.

I would hope anyone with a 4th grade education would know the biblical references used regarding the "Ark" and its purpose in Brink's story. After all, that is why the founders named the city as such, which makes this not an Easter Egg, but rather a detail in the story you sadly just realized.

However, just to play Devil's Advocate here...the reference of the Ark is incorrect. I'm not a religious guy, but Noah had to save two of every species (or least the one's God cared about :P) so that through a series of rampart inbreeding, animals could repopulate (sounds like a flawless plan...right?). Well, in Brink, there are apparently no females so no matter what...the population will eventually die regardless of how much homo-tastic activity takes place. :P Just food for thought.

Well, we know there is at least 1 female on the ark so I think its safe to assume that there are more.
