Well, he got what he wanted. One hit kill from Mehrunes' Razor. HA.

Funny, he would just insta kill by not even making contact. Had to resort to sneaking...

He's a pretty neat opponent to fight but he's not as fun as Kaarstag....

Kaarstag was an epic challenge only if any of the other bosses were as tough - Harkon, Miraak, and Alduin are a bunch of softies in comparison.

Lol yeah. The Ebony Warrior and Kaarstag could've taken out all 3 of them as well as the inhabitants of Skuldafn.

I wish we culd figt more interesting battles like that more often... I think you should be able to raise the difficulty in a way that makes tougher random encounters appear more often.

Or at least raise the enemy level cap.

Well we wont really need to since we will have legendary. But his fights were so much more interesting then simply raising the damage and health.

Please don't. Not because of the difficulty, more then on the immersion side. I don't want to have tombs and caves only inhabited by Draugr Deathlords and Falmer Warmongers. It let you think that there were only high rank officials in the past

Level of Boss(or notable boss) Difficultly scale.

Lord Tusk and the forge guardian don't belong on the list. Alduin is arguably the easiest boss followed by Harkon, Miraak, Ebony Warrior then Kaarstag.

That would be a problem. But with the Legendary thing you'll have enough magic/power to oneshot any boss on master so everything would be terribly easy.

What are you talking about?
Lord Tusk and the Forge Guardian arent on the list.
Harkon was just a [censored] pushover.
Aludin was a little harder.
Miraak was a little little bit harder.
Karstaag, was okay.
He killed that one awesome Dunmer Merc I cant remember so I reloaded, and tried again without that distraction.
Ebony Warrior was fine.
Now, Lord Tusk, HOLY BALLSACKS HELD AS EARRING FOR CHUCKNORRIS RIDING THE SPACE SHUTTLE INTO SATURN'S RINGS!
HE KEPT KILLING ME UNTIL I CRIED AND GAVE UP
HE DESERVES TO BE ON THE TOP OF A THAT LIST, I NOT SURE WHAT DRUGS YOU ARE ON, BUT!
CONGRATULATIONS FOR READING THIS FAR!

The forums auto correct excessive spacing plus its obvious when you highlight what you had said. You placed their names on the list, technically Lord Tusk isn't a boss, he's just a slightly bigger version of a horker with a unique name. Frankly if you were killed by Tusk until you cried then you have problems, the damage it does isn't any where close to boss level damage.

Harkon and Alduin are the weakest of the bosses. Harkon is slightly harder because he does the self heal thing and he'll teleport himself around the room.
Kaarstag at least did a good amount of damage. He was difficult enough to challenge some players.

Naw, Miraak was a way easier fight than Harkon. That self-healing is a b/tch. And I actually fought Harkon on a higher level, still much tougher.

Miraak self healed as well and if he killed the dragon you rode the time for you to get get was time for him to lay into him.
Harkon was easier due to the Bow, you had a companion and fire was his bane.

Miraak's self-healing was limited, not infinite like Harkon's, furthermore he took the health from OTHERS not YOU, thus making it technically only half as bad.
The Bow wasn't much help (though a welcome addition) and my character isn't a mage plus I had no weapons with fire enchantment so that had to do with the difficulty. Funny you should mention the companion because that made things way worse; good ol' useless Serana actually did less damage than the amount of health Harkon was absorbing from her, thus she basically served as an infinite health supply for him.
Add to that Harkon can summon gargoyels and raise dead, move around way faster (which svcked because it made him difficult to follow around with my melee character; I couldn't pin him) and generally does more damage, plus the very nature of how he looks like and moves (a floating vampire Lord vs a stationary human target) makes it much more tricky to engage him in melee; shield-bashes often don't work, you swing and miss etc. Overall a tougher boss, getting to Miraak was actually way more difficult than fighting him.

You couldn't stop Miraak's healing, Harkon you could. Often enough she's the one keeping the gargoyles off my back and Harkon was using his spell on me not her.
What he raised/summoned was quickly taken care of by Serana. With Miraak you went in alone and he had periods of Feim so he wasn't killable. The dragons certainly weren't helping by toasting me.

I thought MIraak was a harder fight than Karstaag or Harkon.

The Harkon fight was long, but once I had a rhythm it wasn't all that dangerous, i.e. it wasn't that hard to stay alive, it was just a matter of damaging him faster than he could heal. Also, even if Serana was a healing pool, she would also draw aggression from both Harkon and the gargoyles,

Miraak moved fast, had 2 dragons that increased the danger and confusion, and was literally unkillable in our first fight because I killed both of the dragons before I went after him, which glitched the battle. Miraak himself wasn't that tough after the dragons went down, but the overall battle was.

Karstaag was dangerous, but could be taken down relatively fast with fire spells. I think he'd be a tough fight for a pure warrior. With a spellsword I softened him up with a few dual-cast incinerates, chugged a potion of resist frost, then quickly battered him the rest of the way down (from behind) with the ebony sword of the vampire. I had Serana with me, so it might have been a lot worse without a follower.

Not really, unless you had full magic resist and even then he could heal off Serana. Serana was utterly useless for me (like through most of the game).
Not in my case. It didn't matter he had Feim because that was just like a pause; he wasn't damaging you meanwhile neither was he gaining health, if anything it gave you a break from the fight. Weren't toasting me... might have been a bug... *shrug*

That pretty much sums up boss fights in Skyrim, honestly I think this game has run it's course for me at least. Hope the next TES game is more challenging.
