THE ELDER SCROLL ADVENTURES MOD!

Post » Mon Apr 25, 2011 8:20 am

sorry if you wasn't expecting this, but no, this is not an announcment for such a mod, i just wanna know if there is anyone that did a mod recreating the redguard games into oblivion, i mean, redguard is fully voiced, has an amazing story, all the characters are unforgivable, is just a case of changing a little the game play, the animations of course and making everything third person, there are many mods enchancing third person in oblivion that could be used into that mod, if anyone is willing to make it.. i guess... well... this is just and idea, i think it would be at least a nice tribute to redguard, even tough im in no away thinking redguard could be beaten by a better version, i would love to see a recreation of it upgrating its graphics and gameplay animations(since the cinematic animations are stunning for its time!)

What you're describing sounds a lot more than "just a case of changing" a little here and there. First off, there's the issue about copyright. You can't exactly use the resources (including the voices) provided from the original game. Second, as you mentioned, new content has to be created. You mentioned animations, and making those is a rare art these days around here.

really? there are copyright issues from using a tes game to recreate another tes game.. thats weirld, and why no ones does animations theses days, if i had the pacience to do animations i would recreate everysingle animation from oblivion and morrowind to somenthing almost realistc, "motion capture for the win?"

bah just asking my self :goodjob:

to bad...but now that we are talking about mods overall, do you know any mod that change all the walking/running animations of oblivion? for somenthing more realistic? because seriously animations for me are more important then graphics itself when it comes to apearance.

hmmm well I know there is a few fighting animation replacers, but can't say i've seen a walking animation replacer. You could ask in the mod detectives thread, lotsa people look in there for such things.

We're talking about the old Elder Scrolls game right?

Not exactly what you're looking for, but http://www.moddb.com/mods/integration-the-stranded-light has a lot of lore reference, and returning characters from past elder scrolls games.

Really? I'm sorry to hear that. I just searched on the category "animation," and put "replacer" in the text field, bringing up 30+ entries. Of course, none of them may do what you want, but it certainly sounds, at least, as though the searcher works quite well. I've been using it successfully for several years.

Regardless, good luck! Enjoy.
