The Elder Scrolls and The Ancient Astronaut Theory

Post » Wed Jul 13, 2011 7:13 am

In The Elder Scrolls games, we have magic, ancient megalithic structures and strange creatures.

Could these things be the product of ancient Alien technology and hybrid creature creations?

What do YOU think?

Yeah, it's not as if the world has any lore behind it or anything...

No... TES is not based on Earth. Its a totally different universe. Where there is magic. Actually the only aliens in that universe are the gods.

If you just wanted to promote conspiracy theories, theres a general discussion for that. You dont have to waste space here with this absurd idea that has no bearing neither to ES nor Skyrim, the game this forum is about.

Exactly! :hubbahubba:

Well, then the "aliens" did give them magic. Because they also built the whole universe and the beings in it.

I actually always thought the Alyeids were aliens... until I picked up a book. Seriously, don't flame the guy. It's a good topic.

The Mythic Dawn was actually a CIA false flag operation. There was a second swordsman in the assassination of the Emperor. The so called "dragons" are actually holograms generated by HAARP.

get my drift?

sixyness. the explosion of Redmountain was a cover, so that they could all teleport to their Ark and leave this pitiful rock in their dust

GO DWEMER

and Yagrum is a Dwemeri Fugitive banished to the outerealms who escaped and made it back :P lying sob.

Up beyond the sky is Oblivion and past that is Aetherius, so TESIV was pretty much an alien invasion. Skyrim also maybe; I'm not sure where dragons live. The Empire and the Altmer used to have their own astronauts mananauts also.

edit ~ and there's this:

Auriel-that-is-Akatosh returned to Mundex Arena from his dominion planet, signaling all Aedra to convene at a static meeting that would last outside of aurbic time. His sleek and silver vessel became a spike into the changing earth and the glimmerwinds of its impact warned any spirit that entered aura with it would become recorded-- that by consent of presence their actions here would last of a period unassailable, and would be so whatever might come later to these spirits, even if they rejoined the aether or succumbed willingly or by treachery to a sithite erasure. Thus could the Aedra and their cohorts truly covene in realness.

No, unless you call Daedra 'aliens'... and they use magic, not technology.

As for hybrids... something tells me you won't be seeing any half-Aureals (or Dremora, for that matter) hanging around anywhere, and 'Son of a Daedroth' is purely a non-factual pejorative. XD

There's nothing I hate more than crappy science-fiction notions ruining a good fantasy universe.

I hated it when it happened to Final Fantasy.

I hated it when it happened to the movie Highlander (part 2).

I even hated it when it happened to Star Wars when they explained the "force" with stupid mico-organisms (even though starwars was already sci-fi).

I hate it even more in the real world when people try to explain ancient religions and spirituality with meaningless sci-fi/technology rubbish.

That is all.

There is a bank in Tucson that looks like an upside down pyramid...I always say it was dropped by ancient astronauts.

Actually, no. In Star Wars they explain why some people can use the force, and others can't, due to the presence of midi-chlorians. Which actually makes a hell of a lot more sense than "well, Luke can use the force because he is the protagonist! Random Stormtrooper, on the other hand, can't use the force because he was only put in so that Luke could shoot him out of the sky"

Its not a bad theory.

If you believe that aliens are possible, then there's nothing wrong with the theory. There are a lot of places in the universe that are billions of years older than earth, and if you look at how fast our technology has grown over the last 100 years, you'll see how much room there is to grow in a billion years.

Lets say in theory that it would take us 10,000 years on earth to figure out how to warp through space. Those galaxies that are a billion years ahead of us figured it out over 999 million years ago. Lets face it, youre an alien pod, and Todd has been sent here to keep you pleased until they need your brain
