I hope the shorter time between announcement and release does not mean a loss of quality, a lot of peeps seem disappointed in New Vegas. I hope they have been working on it for a while

1. Bethesda never worked on New Vegas.
2. People are always disappointed. They were with Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3. Opinions differ, it's nothing new.
3. Bethesda's development team for TES V is nearly twice as large as their development team for Oblivion, which leaves me hopeful.

What could all of this mean?

The Dragonborn's name sounds like...Novatine? Llovatine? Novocaine? Not sure. It definitely ends in a "-tine," though. As for what it means...I'm officially holding out hope for http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Alduin#Alduin
