Yeah, it's going to take a bit for all of us to get in. I'm having trouble too, but it will be worked out. Just keep checking back.

Now I feel like a fool. I take it all back, and I know how to behave during the waiting for future games.

Mate, I read "that post" and it pretty much summed up how I felt - yesterday. Now I am happy. I don't think you ought to feel as if you need to apologise for feeling frustrated, it's natural to want to vent about that sort of thing and you expressed the way I was feeling too - and probably many others who weren't brave enough to post it. I feel as if I've been waiting forever for the tiniest rumour and it wears on your nerves after a while! Now we have something to go on, I am much happier :D

Actually if you hold any key it will zoom in, but good call I had not noticed.

Wonder if a mod would be kind enough to move this thread into the Skyrim section of the forums?

Game Informer describes TESV as "one of the most anticipated games of our generation".

Compare that with the various tweets by Reiner and McNamara, and I think I can say without a doubt that the next Game Informer cover will be TESV. Not that it really matters, we'll get all the information to our hearts' desires one way or another.

Hm, hopefully this will be better than Oblivion, especially when it comes to mob leveling. Ah well, at least I've got an excuse to spend money on a new computer next year.

Agreed.

Also, a member of these forums (Silvade) has been frequently tweeting back and forth with some of the GI staff asking for hints towards the February cover, and at least three of them responded today saying something along the lines of "You'll find out soon enough."

I'm about 95% sure the February GI will be TESV.

I'm at much more than 95%. GameInformer was the only publication in the world to do any sort of Elder Scrolls-related write-up immediately before Skyrim's worldwide announcement. Not only that, it was a retrospective of the entire series, including interviews from various BGS developers. There's no way that was coincidence.

If anyone wants to see the reveal in its entirety, the VGAs just started again on Spike TV. Not sure if it's still streaming online.

The TESV reveal (complete with Todd Howard) should take place at about 20 minutes past the hour.

This is exactly what I was saying to people in the Speculation threads, did you really think it would be released in a few months? Everybody was being way too optimistic about what Todd said. My guess was 17 months since the shortest for them was 18 months. So an 11 month wait is good news for me. But once we factor in the inevitable delays, it'll probably get up to 17 months. Still their shortest, technically.

Hate to say I told you so!

This, what game from Bethesda Game Studios has taken less than 11 months to release since their last released game? I'm pretty damn happy with 11 months.

You know, I was kind of surprised to see this announcement. When I first saw "The Elder Scrolls V announced" I was expecting another false alarm or rumor, but I'm glad to see that for once, it's the real thing. Though I'd sort of like to see some actual information on the game, because really, one trailer that doesn't show any actual in-game footage and just has a few pieces of dialog that only hint at what might happen in the story is not much to go on. Still, for now, just having official confirmation that there will be another game is good, considering how long I've waited for this. And I'm sure it won't be TOO long before something that may actually give us an idea as to what to expect from the game, even if it's just one screenshot, will be available in some form.

In the mean time, we can only speculate, though with what little we have to go on now, I don't want to go too far with my imagination, to do so is to risk expecting outragious things that can never be.

It is the shortest time from announcement until release for Bethesda and to be so near it must be quite advanced in the whole process.
