The Elder Scrolls Arena, Walkthrough?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:12 pm

Alright, so I downloaded the game and started playing it today. It is really quite impressive, and I enjoy it so far. I -do- though, find it a little difficult to find out where, exactly to go. So I was wondering if there was a Walkthrough somewhere on the net that would tell me where to go. Currently, I'm supposed to deliver a letter to green wolf or something like that. Any help would be very much appreciated!

On a side note, does the download from The Elder Scrolls website include any previous patches?

I guess the download version of arena is already fully patched.

I know a page with a walkthrough but its russian. Dont be afraid, you dont need to speak russian at all

http://www.elderscrolls.net/arena/walkthrough.php

as you can see, you ll receive the information about the first dungeon in "Hammerfell - Rihad - Palace"
you also get a map of each dungeon by clicking on the dungeonsymbol. The white dots always show you where you find important keys or the staff pieces.

You will also be confronted with all sorts of riddles when you want to enter the chambers with the staffpieces. Search for "elder scrolls riddles" with google and you'll find the answers.

!!!

There's a map for every MQ dungeon level.

I have maps for the non-MQ dungeons but I haven't posted them yet. Note, however, non-MQ quests are generated randomly and items in the non-MQ dungeons are placed unpredictably. So if you have a non-MQ quest, your only solution is to keep looking until you find the MacGuffin.

The hyperlinks to the maps are imbedded in the MQ text. For example, in the section on Fang Lair (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Arena:Fang_Lair), in the Stonekeep sub-section, the first sentence is "Stonekeep is a sprawling, single-level dungeon, and like all Arena dungeons, is filled with all manner of monsters and plenty of treasure." The first word, "Stonekeep," is a hyperlink to the map of Stonekeep.

All the MQ maps are there, I promise you. ;)

They're randomly generated, so theres no maps to find the quests.

They're randomly generated, so theres no maps to find the quests.

When I get the chance and inclination, I will post to the Wiki the dungeon pieces that make up those maps. I don't know how helpful they'd be, though. But in the interests of having as complete a Wiki as possible, I will do it anyway.

Hey guys,

Im new to these forums, but have a similar question that the topic starter had.
So far i've gone through the Walkthrough on GameFAQs and have looked at the TES Wiki but none of them contain the answer i need.

I started a sidequest, i have to deliver a splintered staff to the city-state provisions but i have no idea at all where i can find these 'city-state provisions'.
I can not seem to ask civilians either nor do they mean the king by this.

If anyone could tell me where i can find this location that would be great!

Isn't this a store? Ask people in town, where that store is.

Now I feel like an idiot. I helped this guy get Arena up over on the DOSBox forums and when he asked me, I was thinking of a capitol city or something, and told him I wasn't sure. I need to play Arena again, it's been too long! >.<

Well, as i said... if i want to ask a civilian i can not seem to ask about a location called the city-state provisions.

[Edit]

Thanks for the tip! After scrolling through a vast list of store names i found the City-state Provisions. :)

On to the next quest! B)

Say....since this topic has pretty much evolved already, would it be a good idea to turn this into a general Arena topic for small questions?

I was wondering about a few things again, but felt it would be smarter to ask here rather then creating an entire new topic.
(Topic policies are different on pretty much every forum though).

Anyway, what i was wondering is....

- Which level where you guys before you entered the Ice Fortress?
I went in at level 10, but still had a very hard time defeating Ice Gollums and took a lot of damage from Ice wolfs.
I took a Warhammer of Lightning with me, which proved greatly effective against the Gollums though.

- I read somewhere that the ebony bow is a very good weapon to use, where can i obtain it?

- Is there any better armor i can find for a Spellsword since the best i seem to be able to equip is Chain armor.
(Am i restricted to belts an amulets for better AR ratings perhaps?).

- I read somewhere that you could create spells that barely cost you magic points or do not cost you any at all.
Can someone explain to me how to do this?

I know these are quite a few questions, but for regular players they might be easy to answer (i think).
Thanks in advance for any information. :)
