The Elder Scrolls Five

I thought it would be a good idea to start up a thread like this to help the developers get an early idea about what sort of things fans would like to be in a potential limited or collector's edition. (Please only select 3 or 4 items.)

Also, how would you feel about a premium version akin to Halo's various Legendary Editions?

**For the Xbox this might be a theme and avatar items, Home stuff for Playstation, and I don't know...a mouspad for PC?

Im sure this should go in the TESV suggestion thread.

I loved the little Septim in TES4's collector's edition. I plan on making gold-painted plastic replicas to fill my nerdy little treasure chest with. I carry it around with me all the time, too, along with the pocket-guide.

One thing I'd love to see is a unique wearable item that appears both in the boxed set, and in-game.

I thought about that, but this isn't really about the game part of the game.

something awesome; like the Daggerfall letter openers. I still think they should have made a Daecric 'O' bottle opener. Perhaps for Morrowind they'd have Tevanni Bug musk?

true, though it does relate to the game and is a suggestion. i don't blame you in the slightest. i hate the TESV suggestion thread(s) i feel like no-one reads them. i certainly don't :toughninja:

i feel like if I were a dev with writer's block I'd go on the suggestions list only for ideas on single Dungeons/quests.

I think they have people who read all of that for them and report the most popular suggestions the the dev team.

I want to see:

Figure
Art Book
Poster
Cloth Map
Poket Guide to the Empire

I don't want a premium edition, there's so much they can try to milk me for before it's just too much.

A nice limited edition would be on my shelf.

Thirded. My treasured pewter Ordinator is standing on my computer desk as I type this post, ready to administer discipline to any Ant who dares to climb onto my desk in search of spilled food. I also have my "Art of Morrowind" and paper map around here somewhere. I do not have any non-expansion downloads, though.

I didn't order the Collector's Edition of Oblivion. Nothing in it was worth the money to me.

I'm not into in-game loot myself.

But I would love anything along the lines of soundtrack/making-of/lore-text. I regret not buying the TES4 LE when I had the chance, but thats life.

I'm a svcker for the commentary tracks on DVDs and such, so making-of material is always up my alley. I love to see how things came together.

As far as physical items go, I don't know.... I'm not really looking for figures or busts or anything like that. The septim coin sounded nice. Maybe a letter-opener version of one of the games dagger models? Like, whatever the rough equivilent of Oblivion's Blade of Woe is in the next game. Of course it would have to be tiny-scale and only barely sharp enough to cut open the mail, or certain trouble making groups would be all over it...

Yeah, the ingame stuff is not really a draw, but a figurine or something I can display, a nice map, I love having the soundtrack accessible, and an artbook is great. I loved my vaultboy bobble head and the hardcover art book in the FO3 Collectors edition. The graphic novel is a cool idea too, if it's well done. Elder Scrolls must have a map tho. I like maps.

I am old school. I would love to have a cloth map, and I miss my arena mouse pad. I would also like an updated book of the world of Tamriel. Most likely I will be getting it for the 360 since I don't think my laptop would be able to play TES V so as it was for Morrowind and Oblivion I will get it for the 360. I don't care for avatar crap stuff, so would like something I can have in my hand and hang up the wall, just like in the old days.

voted: new PGE, cloth map, art book, and making of DVD. a shirt or collectible (i love my septim) would also be sweet.

voted "no" to super premium, because i don't want that temptation :( oblivion set me back some 70$ as it is. i really wouldn't mind a really uber collection, as long as it includes everything in the normal collectors edition (and then some). iirc, some of the fallout versions had items that didn't overlap.

what i really want is a real nice boxy case. the OB was pretty decent, but i'd prefer something a bit more http://mmeow.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/2677.jpg.

For me, it absolutely has to have a new edition of the Pocket Guide to the Empire. And if that Pocket Guide has a small map of Akavir (possibly left over from one of it's past invasions) and the other lands we know about, I would be filled with joy (I love maps). I couldn't care less about a map of the province the game is set unless it's made of cloth or something besides paper. For me, the cheap paper map that came with Oblivion GOTY is rather pointless because it's no different than the one in-game, and being made of cheap paper means it's nothing special. A figurine would be nice for sure. Personally the only reason I'd need to buy it is a new Pocket Guide, anything else would just be a bonus.

And I too wouldn't like to see any in-game items or avatar items, they would be pointless to me and I likely wouldn't even use them because they'd likely be overpowered and give me an unfair advantage at the start, and then become useless after a few levels, like most items that come with limited editions or pre-orders.

As long as there's nothing in game, I'll probably be happy with it.

Poster, cloth map, new pocket guide, figurine, and soundtrack. Really though, I'd be fine with just the cloth map and the pocket guide.

I mean, I'd really really love a cloth map, though. That would just be awesome. I'm tired of my paper maps ripping. :(

I voted for cloth map, soundtrack, and a figurine or statue.

Cloth maps are just awesome. And much classier than paper ones. :disguise: Althought I do love my Morrowind map.

I can't stand making of DVDs. They're always like 40 minutes long, you watch it once and you're done with it forever. A soundtrack on the other hand you can enjoy again and again.

I absolutely don't want more crap sitting around collecting dust, but I would make an exception for an Elder Scrolls figurine of some kind.

I'd be happy to just stick with the basic game (although it would be nice to have a paper map, like HALF of the Morrowind copies shipped with, mine was part of the OTHER half).

For those who want something "special", they should ship a live Dremora in the box.....THAT would put a look of surprise on a few players' faces when they opened it.

I don't buy premium/collector's editions so I don't care about any tacky figurines or making of DVDs that I'd never watch included. I'd be annoyed if it came with a map or if it included any ingame extras and the basic game didn't.
