Where is the Skyrim SE PC box? I only see console in that picture. Did they drop the retail box for PC?
Original requirements and recommended specs:

Minimum System Requirements
So there is quite significant difference.
~2-2.5x higher, as far as the recommended specs go. And x64 OS is mandatory, as expected anyway.
Given the spate of delayed October-November releases we've had as of late this is welcomed news. Here's hoping BGS has done more than just add prettiness. Bug squashing was huge need in my thinking.
Language support. Europe has a few more major languages than North America which usually just has English and maybe Spanish and then French for Canada since we do have a large population of French speaking Canadians not only in the Province of Quebec but in other provinces as well.
No but then again it is on a new engine so somethings might have been fixed and maybe some new things are bugged.
Specifically no. However Pete Hines has gone on record saying other "improvements" beyond the listed ones (graphics) are being made. I would think corrective tweaks within the scripts would occur; we'll likely find out on release.
Ah
Well I hope Bethesda will support SSE with a patch or two for us console users who can't download the unofficial patches.
I'm just so glad I'll be able to play Skyrim on PS4 finally. I'll play Skyrim on my PC if I want mods. I will miss the unofficial patches for PS4 if Bethesda doesn't do any patch fixes and we get the game "as is" for better or worse.
If I had a twitter I'd ask Pete about bug fixes/patch support.
Do you have a source for that? It's the first anyone I know has heard of there being anything more than what we see in the videos.
I only use the unofficial patch about half the time and the last time I used was likely about a year and half ago. Still it is nice that it is there but sadly it will only be on the Xbox One and PC. There might be some unofficial patches for PS4 but those would likely be quite limited due to the restrictions on mods.
These are the requirements for the original game for comparison. Those for the SE are linked to in the OP.
Sure, some things will be missing from it, but the esp alone fixes quite a number of bugs I believe, and that should be usable on PS4... if they make a version for PS4, I suppose. Any fixes in textures or meshes are obviously out of the question.
Anyway, I am a bit puzzled that the requirements would be so much higher than those of the original game with the High-Res DLC. The 12GB HDD space support the prospect that it will come with those or at least no bigger ones (they might have changed other things than their size). Meshes also seem unaltered, so there appears to be mainly more dense vegetation and new effects and shaders. I don't really get how it could have higher requirements than Fallout 4, as I believe it is reasonable to assume that the Skyrim SE will use virtually the same engine.

Mr. Hines is vague on the specifics, (no surprise) but stresses they are improving the game substantially while trying to make it as next gen as possible. There are a few allusions made in some of his tweets as well.
Pete Hines says the animations are also improved.
I believe one of the members of the team stated no USLEEP for PS4 since they do not have the time or resources to have two separate patches going. The Xbox One will be the PC version and the PC version would likely have it first to test the fixes.
Ok then... not that I would care, personally, I don't even own a console and I would never dream of playing an Elder Scrolls game anywhere else but on PC.
Edit: Here's the statement I found: http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/4617-skyrim-sefallout-4-mods-on-ps4-are-back-sort-of/
Really, the biggest downside to the PS4 modding restriction is that even scripts are most likely not allowed.
I will be playing it both on the PC and Xbox One and I will likely play most of the time with no or a few mods. Maybe Xbox One will be played with mods and the PC version without mods, since I am willing to test mods for some mod makers who do not have an Xbox One.
I don't see any other reference to directx version.
Well, for one, Windows 7 is mentioned as the oldest supported OS (in contrast to XP for the original version), and that was the first to support DX11.
Also, as I wrote before, it is extremely unlikely that the engine will be significantly different from the FO4 engine, which is DX11, given that the Skyrim SE uses many of the same effects, which, as other people already pointed out, are only possible in DX11.
I think the bullshot at the end of the trailer mislead me to believe there would be a retail disc pc version https://youtu.be/pF2Qw9BI6Rg?t=252Although I could swear after the announcement I saw it listed @Game Uk, but now it's gone.
