The Elder Scrolls....

So its not possible at all to mod the steam version of Morrowind? I was not able to find a box copy in my area and it would be quite nice to be able to pick up the entire pack for $70 because it also includes Fallout 3, which I also have not gotten a chance to play.

The bundle just looks too good!

What mods do you all suggest I get for Morrowind? I heard there was an entire graphics overhaul mod as well. Lets hear what you guys suggest for mods! :)

Can people just answer his questions instead of confusing him by going "Well, not really, you see..."

Yes, the games follow a chronological order - with the exception of Redguard, which is a spin-off that takes place years before Arena. Arena, Daggerfall, Battlespire (Another spin-off), Morrowind and Oblivion all take place in that order and fairly close together. Skyrim, however, is based 200 years after the end of Oblivion.

Arena is fairly difficult and hasn't really aged that well I found, but you may enjoy it. Daggerfall is closer to Morrowind from what I understand, and then Morrowind is much more in line with Oblivion and Skyrim. People keep speaking about a graphics overhall, but I've never found it necessary.

I'd suggest giving both Arena and Daggerfall a go - Morrowind is great fun and worth the little bit of dosh.

I only played Oblivion before I decided to try Arena.

I love it.

And that's saying a lot, I rarely if ever play old games, I still haven't finished Deus Ex (yes I know...) but Arena is just that awesome once you get DOSbox running properly.

TES is brilliant. Period.

FYI
daggerfall has FIVE endings
and when you play that, then morrowind
you'll realise something strange(that i've never seen in another game series)
but they take all 5 endings and put em together to make 1 legendary ending, so all 5 happens in Morrowind

Just for clarification, Morrowind is moddable on Steam, you just have to change the dates of the .bsa files. A quick guide is provided here:
