The Elder Scrolls VI : Tamriel?

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 2:15 am

I was thinking, how will TES IV be?

Tamriel vs Aldmeri Dominion?

OR

Tamriel vs Akaviri?!

From what I've read, creatures in Akaviri were so strong that they drove dragons out of the continent of Akaviri. Furthermore Tamriel and Akaviri had many wars in the past but since then no one has ever heard of them anymore.

Will TES IV be a fight against the monsters or Akaviri?

I was thinking the next one should be a multiple CD version where each CD takes you to a different province of Tamriel.
That'd be the brutalest awesomesauce ever.

If they develop it the same way they did with Skyrim, I won't be buying it. Not paying $60 for a [censored] console port

Next one would probably Elswyr, that'd be badass, the first TES to take place in a tropical wasteland.

The Elder Scrolls VI will take place in one province. It would take a very long time to make a continent. I do think the Dominion will have a bigger role in the next game. I am curious to see what that role will be.

Every time a tes game is craeted, we always get a "TES(next number): Tamriel" thread.

It's not going to happen. MAYBE if Bethesda get all around every province for each game, come back in a loop and touch up a few older games and go through every other region such as Atmora, Yokuda etc. we may get a Tamriel game. But we'll probably all have kicked the bucket by then.

Also perhaps an MMO game. But it would be an MMO game.

Oh I hope so. I'd love to see a more prominent Dominion/Empire rivalry.

Well, war with Aldmeri or Akavir should be second Oblivion. If war will be finished before TES VI it will be similar to Skyrim. Expedition to Akavir or being Empiror's agent in Valenwood and Elsveyr against Thalmor or siding with them would more interesting. Elsveyr could be more interesting (yes i like Khajiits) because of it's separation into two kingdoms and missing moons (what if it will happen again?)

Blatantly Summerset Isle.

Or it could be a Falmer invasion in one of the mainland provinces - they could swarm down from Skyrim?

Elswyr and Valenwood are about the size of Skyrim, so perhaps they could do both in a single game and be the first to contain 2 regions.

It will be Summerset Isles. Taking the fight to the elves! probably kidnapped as a prisoner of war blah blah blah But we won't see Tamriel for a while there aren't many machines powerful enough to play it and it would probably take over a decade of dedicated work to make it.

It'll never happen. People that keep on calling for this have no clue how immense that would be. You'd basically need nine separate development teams (one for each province) to work on nine separate games with all their questlines. You'd then have to bring them all together to tie the game into one, cohesive unit. Now bug test the whole thing. Does the Thieve's Guild quest from Hammerfell conflict with the Shadow Scale quest from Black Marsh? That svcks. Good luck fixing that.

I understand the sentiment behind it, but it's not gonna happen unless Bethesda has a ton more money than they already do.

I'm thinking Elsweyer for VI.

Just think how nice the deserts and jungles will look.

Does anyone reckon Obsidion will do a "Fall out new Vegas" equivilant for Elder Scrolls?

I know i was having a bit of fun with the numbering  IV was oblivion. as for VI i hope it's one of the southern provinces to contrast skyrim.

Daggerfall had 2 provinces.
Hammerfell and High Rock.

If they skip another 200 years, the whole story with the Dominion may be long done by then. Heck, it could be ES:Summerset Isle where you liberate the re-annexed high elves from the empire's vengeful rule.

I hope an Elder Scrolls MMO is never created.

I would love to see more if the political intrigue. I also think the Dominion and the weakened empire is a great storyline. I would love to see what happens regarding both regimes.

BethGS said TES will stay as their own.

Daggerfall had 2 provinces.
Hammerfell and High Rock.

Ah, Ive never played pre Morrowind so I wasn't aware. Informed though, thanks. But it still stands that having another game with 2 regions would be cools.

It's very possible. It also might not be as drastic as a jump. This is the biggest time gap in the series so I think it might be safe to assume the empire and the Dominion will still be feuding. I would like to the Summerset too. The Altmer are my favorite race.

They could do a Tamriel game, especially if it's released like six years from now. Of course it would have to be an isometric top-down view like Diablo, so they can cram in nine provinces.

I'd totally play "The Elder Scrolls VI: Tamriel" with Diablo action combat but with the char, npc, story, role-play depth of the Ultima series covering all 9 provinces.
