The Elven races, a balance between good and evil?

I was just thinking about the various Elven races in skyrim.

  • Snow Elves became Falmer because they were betrayed by Dwemers. They became the blinded and hopeless creatures we kill in skyrim.
  • The Dwemer race faced a verge of extinction after stabbing Lorkhan's Heart. Most of them disappeared. Only their work remained.
  • The enraged Azura cursed the Chimer race and gave them red eyes and dark skin, making them Dunmer. Later, they lost control of their lands to argonians, and enslaved/ forced them to migrate.
  • Orsimers used to be a group of Altmers. They changed when their leader, Trinimac was eaten by Boethiah. As Tinimac became Malacath, his followers became Orsimers. In the long run, the race became outcasts to society. They worshipped Malacath, even though he is the one who cursed them.

They became what they are now because of their thirst for power and influences with the Daedras.

  • On the other hand, High Elves haven't changed much, despite them following their old ways, which could have a backfire on them.
  • Then there were Altmer who migrated to Valenwood and became Bosmer (Wood Elves). They seem to be one of the only Elven races who have it good at this time period. Cough, Living the laid back life, being carnivores and hugging trees.
  • Lastly, there are Bretons, a mix between man and mir. Yet they hold many of their man counterparts

The second great war may change the ways of the High Elves of Third Aldmeri Domonion.

So why is it that many of the Elven races have met a sinister fate.
