The Empire ARE the Enemy!

I thought you could choose? They don't have to be enemies.

That depends, could you choose not to be enemies with the Ogre charging at you screaming profanities while swinging a huge club overhead? If my theory is correct then I doubt you will have a choice as you wont be initiating war with the Empire, they will be the ones initiating war with you.

Lazy as in allowing people to make their own backstories. I think Todd have mentioned that they don't give you the backstory for that very reason several times.

Yeah I know but giving a reason as to why the PC is being executed or in jail doesnt necessarily screw up the backstory a player had in mind for their character, for instance no matter what in Skyrim your character will always be Dragonborn, having the player being executed for being the Dragonborn doesnt screw up the players backstory any more than what locking the character into being Dragonborn already does.

Okay, flamer, thanks for letting us know you're such a big fan and read the book, we'll all very impressed. Regardless, that changes absolutely nothing here. Talos is still outlawed, and the Blades are being hunted down.

I don't appreciate you calling me names.

All I did was come to the conclusion that 140 years is too long for a human who is already an advlt with children and enough years under his belt to have taken over Cyrodiil to still be alive. I don't consider that flaming, but logical.. In addition, can you find me proof that the Blades are being hunted down, and that Talos is outlawed by the Empire?

Thanks.

Edit: seriously how would you have to have read a book to know that 180 years is way too long...?? Derp.

Speaking of derp, it doesn't have to be TITUS Mede, but one of his progeny ruling a Medeian dynasty.

I thought you were being executed for illegally entering Skyrim? (Or something like that.)

My character isn't being executed for being the Dragonborn. Nor does he know that he's the dragonborn.

That's just the thing though.. you don't have any proof that they are even still ruling, same as the OP didn't.. so it didn't, and still doesn't make sense to make the claims that were made in the OP.
