The Enclave, and Helios One

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 7:50 am

If you have noticed, around Helios One you can find modern Enclave tech, such as the ones found in camps in Fallout 3. Sure, this COULD be from before the great War, but they seem to be new and functioning well. Also, up by the PYTHON robot, you can find a command desk thing found in the Remnants Bunker. Which brings me to my next point, the Remnants Bunker. What is it's point there? A random bunker in the wasteland? No, it couldn't be. It could possibly be a refueling station to get it's troops to Helios One, not to mention some Follower mentions seeing Enclave tech around. I'm just curious as to what you guys think, could there possibly have been Enclave troops at Helios One at one point in time?

I think you're just grasping for straws.

All it means is that the Enclave's day to day tech before its demise hadn't changed in over 200 years. The only thing the Enclave changed was the Power Armor, everything else had no real reason to change, a desk is a desk no matter what you do, so no reason to change it. Plus the Enclave's command table isn't exactly new technology. If you looked at Operation Anchorage, General Chase was using a much similiar situation desk in his tent.

As for the bunker, it was likely a refueling depot for their crews flying between various outposts around the region/country.

Yes, but it was a posidein Facility, could it be one of those outposts you reffered to earlier?

Not really. Given that the Enclave only had an outpost at Navarro during the time of Fallout 2, the idea they'd have a physical presence in the Wasteland would be nonsense. Plus, it would have been mentioned by the Brotherhood, but as I recall, they said it was derilect up until they took it over. Poseidon wasn't The Enclave, just a corporate mask for the Enclave, the facility may have just been a testing facility for a research idea (IE Combat and Non-Combat uses for solar power)

I'd chalk it down to more of a reusing of items from Fallout 3 rather than designing new ones. I wouldn't put anything behind it and I agree with Martyr that its grasping for straws.

I'm pretty sure it was revealed through dialogue that the remnant's bunker was just a fueling station the guys used to hide their stuff.

I do believe its just pre war tech. You can see alot of pre war tech that looks shiny enough like the bunker under the weather station and so on.
