The Enclave is NOT gone

Post » Thu May 23, 2013 1:14 am

I am not trying to start another war, but I have noticed that with each Fallout game, the Enclave loses more and more power. The Enclave has been pushed out of the Capitol Wasteland in the East and out of California in the West. I just hope that the developers of future Fallout games remember that there are Enclave bases in the Midwest. Also, Canada was annexed by the U.S. Who says there aren't bases present there as well?

Meh, the only cool thing about The Enclave are their armor from Fallout 2 which I loved to see in New Vegas, also the pissed off soldier conversation in Fallout 2. I stopped liking them after watching the Fallout 2 intro.

It's because they aren't the series recurring villain.

Also from JHE:

"decades after the War I watched as the remnants of the government moved to the West-Coast", as Eden knows this through his original role a "communications relay" for various "continuity of Government installations" it's therefore logical to assume that there are no more of these bunkers left.

And even if they were they would have no connexion to the actual Enclave, they'd just be a government bunker that turned into a town.

EDIT: If you really liked the Enclave you wouldn't want to see them being dragged out forever. The Enclave is and should be gone, gone to a better place where Bethesda can't hurt them any-more.

Note that Eden also claimed to have ordered ALL active-duty Enclave personnel back to RR in Fallout 3. That includes anyone in the Midwest and Canada (if they had bases there.)

It also explains why the Enclave are so numerous, compared to the Brotherhood of Steel. I'll betcha that by the end of the Main Quest and Broken Steel, you've seen at least ten times the amount of Enclave Personnel compared to Brotherhood of Steel Personnel.

And the Enclave were never "pushed out" of the East. They suffered two major catastrophies (The destruction of RR, and likely the destruction of the Mobile Crawler.) Anybody left are remnants of the Enclave, not a fighting force that can seriously threaten any other post-apoc nations.

Isn't Chicago an Enclave stronghold? (clearly a case of art imitating life)

It's described as "outposts", which is really indicative of nothing and doesn't, in-fact, really suggest all that much.

It indicates and suggest outposts, right? Don't be so dismissive.
