Ah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. That was off topic. Really though. This is great. I like how you're switching the perspective to a new character each chapter. It really gives a background to the evil Lone Wanderer as well.

Thanks, this was my goal, to add perception to the Lone Wanderer... Cause he, is truly, an evil bastard. So, I wanted people to realise that on their own, but if you haven't: Yes the Lone Wanderer is trying to kill everyone, yes he is an evil bastard and yes he is your true... Enemy! Haha, either way, I'm writing a new chapter today... I can't let this sit like this forever.

Chapter 4

The Mechanist lay dead, the only man that knew how to kill the Lone Wanderer with his new weapon of mass destruction. The Wastes started crumbling, as the man swept across the people with a vengeance, killing anyone and everything that stood against him. Soon enough, he arrived at his biggest battle yet, a battle with a man that had been preparing for John's visit.

This man, was probably the smartest man in the Wastes, apart from John, he was ready for him, no matter what he brought with him. This man's name, was Andrew.

Andrew sat in his chair, watching the small map layed out before him, he'd been working on his home for years now, finally it was complete? The only thing was, John knew of this place, he'd helped build it for a while, Andrew had heard the rumors, John wanted this stronghold. This place was the most well defended place in the Wastes apart from Tenpenny Tower which was John's new home?

Andrew had heard the other rumors, of how John had eliminated an entire Enclave base himself, how he'd killed anyone that stood in his way no matter how powerful they were. Andrew knew that out of everyone, he would have quite a small chance of defeating John, but he knew he had to try, he checked the map again to see how his defenses were holding up.

He looked over at the charts that showed him the percentages of all his creations, from power, to how many of his defenders still stood. He read down the list:

Power: 100%
Defenders: 100%
Defenses: 100%
Monitoring Systems: 100%
Inner Defenses: 100%
Outer Defenses:20%

Andrew's eyes bulged as he read the Outer Defenses, he wasn't expecting this. He quickly looked through a small screen, which showed him a nice view of his outer defenses, of his one and only doorway out and in of his stronghold. Standing there, in beautiful black armor, stood a man, a man that Andrew knew straight away. His breath choked in his throat as he looked at the monster of a machine that the armor was.

The defenses fell very quickly, within half a minute, his entire outer defensive system lay in ashes. Andrew cursed and quickly sent out his defenders to the man, he destroyed those within 2 minutes, he checked over his graphs again, hoping that it wouldn't have been too terrible?
Power: 97%
Defenders: 43%
Defenses: 50%
Monitoring Systems: 37%
Inner Defenses: 100%
Outer Defenses:0%

Andrew was appalled, he was sitting in his chair, he watched the Defenders move down and down until it hit 0. The power moved down and down until it had hit 50. The monitoring systems went down to 10% and his Inner Defenses stayed as they were. He watched and waited, he knew that today, he would either become the Wastes most honored man?

Or he would die, never to rise again.


Sorry that it's so short and sorry for any mistakes, I did it in an outdated Word Program. Cookie if you can guess where I fit myself into the story!

Note: The next chapter will have something to do with Religion in it, please, if you don't want this to happen, please tell me now.

And here's another one who likes your writing. I just recently read through these stories and I've really like them so far.

But, because I play as a good character I find myself truly hoping that Andrew is the one to bring John's reign of terror to an end.

Ah nice new chapter. Hopefully Andrew will be the end of John's rampage.

Oh: Reminder: Does anyone have anything against a little bump towards religion? Andrew will be slightly religious in the next Chapter, so I wonder if anyone want's me to filter that out. It's nothing big, no big prayers or anything, just a nudge towards the Bible. Anyone have anything against that?

Yay! Finished another Chapter, for once, the person who's in the main view... Well, you'll see.

Chapter 4 Part 2

Andrew waited, wondering what on Earth was going to happen to him, he waited and waited, soon enough he saw on his graphs the Inner Defenses drop until they hit 0%... His eyes bulged as he wondered how any human being could take on 40 turrets, in one room? And LIVE! He shuddered as he waited for the telltale signs that he was about to get attacked.

He watched the one and only door into his inner stronghold, he watched it carefully and with an expert's eye, he waited until, finally, he saw what he'd been waiting for. He saw a great dent appear suddenly in the door, he quickly picked up his gun, a simple 44. Magnum and he waited. He saw another dent appear, then another, all the three dents suddenly connected and went further in.

His breath stopped as he waited for the final hit, suddenly, it came. The whole door came of it's hinges and fell into the room, there stood a man in pure black armor, with two turrets attached to the shoulders and it looked about as tough as a Vault door. Andrew gulped in a quick breath of air as he looked at his foe.

He looked at a button he wished he'd pressed, his failsafe, it took 3 seconds to charge and the panic room was right next to it with a locking mechanism? He stopped eyeing it and looked at John, he opened his mouth, "So John, long time no see eh? I see you've entered my one and only refuge quite easily?"

John didn't reply, instead choosing to stay where he was, Andrew sighed and knew what he had to do. John had a very high respect for Andrew, so he was waiting for him to make the first attack. Andrew edged a bit closer to the failsafe terminal and shrugged, "John, always so nice to me, waiting for me to start it all hey? Well? You were always quite a gentleman when you tried."

John still didn't reply, choosing to stand there once again, Andrew shrugged and looked down? He knew it wasn't a mistake as John had promised he wouldn't kill him, rather only retaliate to whatever Andrew did. He knew that he'd retaliate if he went to the Failsafe room, he would retaliate violently indeed?

Andrew looked up and walked to the right, he turned back to John and said, "John, I'm guessing you've come here to kill me and take my home? The home that you helped repair, even though my parent's made it?" Andrew saw him flinch and continued, "I realise that you might hate what I say next, but I think you should know? My parent's made this place because it has a connection to a satellite that can rain down a nuclear arsenal on the Wastes."

Andrew shrugged and John blinked, Andrew continued, "It all stemmed from a passage from the bible, something that you'd already know John. Revelation 21:6, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, I will give unto him that is athirst of the water of life freely. They didn't take the last part from it like you're parents did, they took the first part, the beginning and the end? They will be the end of all the bad things in the Waste John, and here you are, wanting to end that dream."

Andrew shrugged and paced back, ever closer to the Failsafe Terminal, John just stood there, shocked. Andrew shrugged and sighed, he knew what he had to do, while he was distracted. Andrew turned to the failsafe and typed in the password: 216. He then quickly typed in the authentication code: 071795216. He then turned to John and smiled.

"Goodbye John, your going to die for all the bad things you did to the Wastes." Andrew brought up his pistol, his Father's pistol, he then shot John in the leg, John cried in pain quickly and stumbled, Andrew pressed enter on the Failsafe Terminal. He then ran straight to the Panic Room door, he punched in the password and quickly walked in.

As the door closed behind him he turned, he saw John's face one last time and he was smiling, he heard him say something just as the door was closing. "Thank you Andrew, you've saved so many people's lives." Then he saw the door close and heard the giant rumble from the explosion, the shockwave hit me and Andrew went flying into the wall, he fell into the realms of darkness.


Took me a while, but there we go, hope you liked it!

Sorry I wasn't able to comment on your last chapter, which was great by the way. This cliffhanger has left me on the edge of my chair, you have to write another chapter just so I know what happened to them! Oh and btw nice ironically named hero

I won't, although, if the Lone Wanderer dies, who says that they won't have to rebuild? From the rumors that have been secretly mentioned during the story, the LW has taken out every main faction cept for the Outcasts...
