The Evil Within: RemasteredExpanded Edition?

Post » Sat Oct 18, 2014 2:08 pm

Hello guys, as much as I love TEW, I felt like the game was a slight tiny tiny, teeny weeny, bit rushed. The reason why is because there are still bugs, glitches, weird AI behavior, and many funky things to exploit and laugh at. The game is far from done, and there are many things about the story line that still needs to be explained.

Who is Julie Kidman? What's up with her? Who is Joe? What can we learn more about this game? What about that lame scientist who pissed off Ruvik? Why was the ending for TEW so bland and unsatisfying for some people? Will there be another sequel based on TEW's current ending?

The Evil Within 2 would be a nice addition.

Also, some things people complained about, these could really be addressed as time goes by, which are:

- Frame Rate
- Aspect Ratio (Black Bars)
- Graphics
- Optimization
- Extended story
- Maybe more minigames? (Like RE4's Mercenaries)
- Maybe some alternate costumes? (Like most of the RE games)
- Fixing glitches and bugs

what else do you think, that needs to be addressed, if there was a remaster edition?

These problems really need to be fixed ASAP, we don't have time to wait for a remastered edition.

As for continuing the story well, that can wait for a sequel I guess.

The game has been out for 2 days...
Any plans for sequels or "remastered" versions would likely still be unknown.

Just like every game released in the last 10 years, I would bet that there will be patches to correct problems that people might have.

One of the announced DLCs will focus directly on Julia Kidman.

Also, the story is supposed to have ambiguity and unanswered questions. The questions are for you to decipher.
I would say that this is a very common theme element used in most horror themed media, so it fits the game perfectly.

Most new games need to be patched upon release. Some more than others. Some get patches that never even address major issues (ie Skyrim and it's guild quest bugs that basically broke that quest line). Most new games will have glitches, no amount of beta testing etc will pinpoint every problem. That's why people post on forums, so developers know the common problems and can get around to working on it and patching it ASAP.
