The Evil Within Steam release date

Post » Tue Oct 14, 2014 9:58 am

Hi guys, as you may know, retail PC copies of The Evil Within can't be played unless Steam has unlocked the game. Console copies can, and there are a lot of people playing the game already while us PC players are left out in the cold.

When Alien: Isolation faced the same issue Sega unlocked the PC copies right away. Is there any chance of that happening here? (there's also the issue of regions where it's already the 14th)

Thanks.

Bethesda please listen to your commensense logic here:

Many console gamers are already playing this as retailers have to ship 1 day early to ensure the game arrives by release date. So that being the case why do you insist on holding the release date on Steam when others are playing it on PSN/XBL right now there is no logic to this decision! Other publishers release their PC games early more often than not nowadays. Sega did it with Alien Isolation last week. Capcom did it with Dead Rising 3 a month ago. Deep Silver did it with Metro Redux in August...........

Please reconsider & unlock today it will get you a lot of positive rep from the PC gaming community your not going to lose sales selling the game slightly early are you! It can only have a positive influence on Steam community.

Thank you for listening.
