No worries Ayumi, I think we all decided that everyone who went inactive would just be following the group passively.

Yup, just join in! good to see we're all (mostly) still here :)

So, how does this whole boss fight thing work? I noticed no one had yet posted much action from the wyrm yet- does Verlox control it like a character, or do we just include its actions toward our own characters in our posts?

I think we do, but nobody has been willing to be "that guy" who hurts it first :P

I'll be "that guy" then, I suppose.

Although, I dunno; if Juhanor uses Vaba, the arrow would probably go into the thing's brain and kill it... guess he'll have to use those throwing knives instead (yes!).

Cordus has a plan. It involves his free-running ability (I wanted to work that in, as it's been unused so far).

I thought of a possible way to finish it off too, every character that has long ranged attacks (which might be all of us anyways) focus at the ceiling to cause a rock cave-in onto it. Yay or Nay?

That.... just doesn't sound safe at all Trannigan  and Broken, you totally have to go "Legolas on a Mumakil" if you get on his back. Pure badassness.

Yeah, whatevs. I'll help if you so desire, Broken-Scale. Juhanor is supposed to be awesome at dodging, jumping, and running anyways. Want me to be the "rabbit"?

Trannigan, I was actually thinking something along that lines, but it seems like it could be just as ill for us, you know?

Edit: Although, then we could be split up into a different tunnel each, and that seems like it could be fun... maybe something to consider at a later date?

Or we could combine the two plans ... Cordus could just basically decide to be a goofball during the execution of his own plan and wind up collapsing the cavern.

I didnt mean the whole roof! though thinking about it, it probably wouldnt work anyways, considering the armored scales.

Hehe, I know, I was being sarcastic :hehe:

So Verlox, would poisons have worked against this thing? Not that it matters now, I'm just wondering.

Depends on the potency of the poison.

Spoiler
This thing is an Atmoran demon, after all

Interesting ^_^ Combining the 2 plans like Broken Scale said could possibly work. especially if the poison ends up having an affect on the thing.

No, Octavius never got the shot off so there is no poison anyways.

Just saw your post... reminded me of Shadow of the Colossus a bit. Except with a much less silent protagonist. Now we still have to actually kill the thing. Attrition I guess? Also poor Octavius, was about as useful in this fight as Virani was in the first fight... and I didn't even post in that one

As to the idea of a cave-in that might split us up like Master Thief said, I guess it's somewhat up to Verlox, since he presumably has some ideas about what happens next that may or not be amenable to us all setting off in different directions.

Name: Validus Bellator
Gender: Male
Race: Imperial
Age: 41

Birthsign: The Lord

Skills: Smithing, Swordplay, Two-Handed Weapons (Like a Halberd or Spear), and Crafting

General Apperance: Validus is an average sized man, knotted with muscle and powerful in regards to his size. He has long black hair which is flecked with gray and tied back into a braided ponytail. He has bright green eyes and a scruffy beard with gray spots as well. He also has a scar that curves from outside his left eyebrow to just under his left eye socket.

Weapons: A Silver Longsword (Crusade-era style) with an ivory scabbard adorned with rubies. http://www.aceros-de-hispania.com/image/marto/haldberd-14g.jpg Though the shaft of the halberd is a deep mahogany color and there is no tassel hanging from the blade.

Armor: Deep green sleeveless tunic with a dark leather belt and white long-sleeved undershirt, knee-high leather boots, and brown cotton pants which are tucked into his boots.

Brief History: (I'll have to fix this later. I'm a bit short on time.)

In the words of George Lucas, "Would I have to do anything?"

Hehe, kidding.

Honestly, I kinda just have general notes, and make everything else up as we go along. The Atmoran demon wyrm was really a spur of the moment thing. If you guys want a cave-in, that would split you guys into two groups, with a path each, since there were three paths leading out of the current chamber, one of which collapsed. The other leads south (in the direction of the main Inner Ward cavern, but not the same path you lot came through), and the other leads to where all the light and screaming was.

I'm fine with either way, depends on what everyone else votes for. Being cut off into smaller numbers could be interesting though for the next few fights.

Yeah, I'm good either way. The only thing is that it could kinda muck up the more inactive members, but it would definitely make things more interesting.

Er, I guess I feel about the same- I think it'd be fun to have two groups going at once instead of tromping around all in one big group. But you're right, a few people haven't posted for a while- AyumiFan said she can post again starting the weekend, but Ni hasn't posted since the start of the new thread, and Foxy hasn't for longer than that. That's about 10 or 11 of us counting Lord Venificus when his character gets in, so 5 or so people per group. As usual I defer to more experienced players' judgement on whether or not that's a good idea, but if that seems workable I like it.

I should have been more clear with Octavius' injuries. Basically everything you guys said is right actually. He's bleeding quite heavily from his right eye/eye area, he's knocked out and his left hand is crumpled underneath him and will likely be quite mangled and broken when you see it. Solidor was right. Maiming your characters is fun sometimes!! :hehe:

As for the groups, I'm up for what everyone else is. But we should consider who exactly is less active and try to keep them split up so that one group doesn't have two or three people not posting.
