Whenever ya'll are ready to head down in the dungeon, just tell me.

This works out for me quite well. Now I don't have to waste a post on how astounded Octavius is by the church before standing off to the corner like normal. Dungeon-ahoy, once everyone else is read I say!

There's the GM post (I think it's number 5 :P).

The torches I mentioned, just FYI, don't lead fully to the encampment. I have something....else planned before ya'll get there. Nothing major, but it will help later. So you guys post, and once I see enough, I'll make the next GM post with the event.

I think we should maybe let others have a chance at posting before going again. I count 4 or 5 of us here and if we get into it, we could end up leaving people without a chance to get their word in. And we all want to hear what Gundarr has to say

Yes, I suppose.

The last line of my post might seem a little out of place, but I sort of meant it as "The light might attract monsters/something we don't want, so maybe it would be better to have someone that doesn't need the light to move ahead of the group to scout out the location." Just so everybody understands my intentions.

Agreed, no rush. ayumifan and carrot sandwich in particular seem to be on later than this, wouldn't want to leave them in the dust.

Also, in situations like this where we're giving everyone a chance to talk, is one person posting too often a bad thing? Like, if I were to post again, is that a bit much? Just curious about the etiquette and I don't want to spam the thread.

I tend to post pretty often, and I can see how someone might think it is annoying to see one name show up every other post. It does run a risk of leaving others out of certain situations.

I'm sorry if my original post and subsequent edit confused you; i didn't realize there was a page 4 yet and so was unaware of several responses.

Honestly, I wasn't trying to force anyone not to post. I just know from personal experience, nothing svcks more then coming back from a night out or a night of homework to see the thread has gone by 2 or 3 pages of heavily dialogued or action-packed posts. Very discouraging IMO.

However, I'm gonna post again probably because I'm the guy who brought this whole thang up

Heh, the time difference does make it a bit difficult, as well as the fact that I'm a terribly slow poster. It doesn't bother me too much, it's just that people manage to make about three posts when I'm just finishing off one :P

Well y'all can post but I've determined my position as long as no one disagrees, so I'll take my leave so that Gundarr and them can post as well.

I know what you mean Carrot, everyone is posting so fast! My issue is that when I start writing a reply, I end up always writing a couple paragraphs more than I thought i would. Ah well.

Edit: whoops, broken-scale, I wasn't trying to imply with my last post that we're going anywhere, take your time to chip in if you like. Just continuing to converse before we head out. I feel like this level of planning before heading down one path lined with torches is a bit... overkill :)

Ahhhh, sorry Broken-Scale, I knew this was going to happen. If it's any consolation, I'm done for the night till tomorrow after school so....

And Caveat, it is Octavius' nature to be this... not paranoid but after working with so many "squishy" scholars by bringing them into lairs of zombies and Daedra, he finds it's best to be over-prepared before going in, no matter how simple the job may seem at first :P

Hey, it's no problem, but between school and other stuff, and being on a diff. time zone than I think EVERY one else, I keep ending up getting like a page behind everyone else. I don't mind though. I like activity!

A schedule? Do you mean, an agreed upon time for everyone to be active, or just a sheet showing when people are likely to be active. Not really sure how that would work.
