OOC: *cracks knuckles*
IC: "Indeed it will be when I the day comes that I have grandchildren, or even children for that matter." Trannigan said, before standing up and retrieving a mass of white from some nearby logs. Sora realised it was the hide of the beast they had slaughtered. "It will be useful having that much extra fur," Trannigan continued, "Could make a nice blanket or two out of it." Sora reached out to touch the hide, even though sitting up made her feel a little ill. The fur was soft and thick, but severely matted, which took away some its beauty. "Are ya alright?" Trannigan asked, as he sat down again, "Ya look as if ya might be about to get sick."
Sora smiled, about to say that she was fine, when Juhanor trotted up, and sat down next to her.
"Greeting, good lady. This one knows your name, but not much about you; where do you hail from?"
Sora hesitated a moment. She had always been careful about revealing information about herself for the sake of her family. She didn't want their whereabouts to fall into the wrong hands and put them in danger. However, the Khajiit seemed trustworthy, and Sora saw no harm in answering his question.
"Well, I grew up just outside Cheydinhal with my parents and sisters," She explained, "But at the moment I don't really live anywhere. I just sorta drift around Cyrodiil. This is the furthest north I've been."
Before Juhanor could respond, Trannigan interrupted. "Hey Juhanor, show her the hand that ya took off that troll."
"Ah, sure Trannigan," Juhanor said. He then proceeded to take apart the contents of the bag that clung to his body. "Let's see, moon sugar, pitons, there it is." After replacing his belongings in his bag, he picked up a massive white paw. "Look at this thing." Sora marvelled at the surprisingly human-like hand. The palm must have been at least twice the size of her own, with thick black nails protruding from the long fingers. The fur was splattered with blood, further ruining the tangled, stained fur. Sora silently hoped they wold encounter another of the beasts, just so she could see one for herself.
Juhanor continued, "I was planning to augment my caestus; maybe use the bone structure for strengthened support, the claws for their obvious purpose, perhaps the fur to line the rest of my gauntlets. It is pretty heavy, though, so that is why I only took the one. I don't want to make the speed of my hand to hand skill become too crippled by its weight, you know?" Sora nodded. A smile sprung to Juhanor's face as he said, "Plus, it makes a great trophy!"
"That it does my friend, and it will make for a nice weapon," Trannigan said, before fumbling around with his water flask.
Sora was about to inquire more about the Ice Troll, when Cordus arrived and made himself comfortable. Sora suddenly felt a pang of guilt because of the way she had acted towards him earlier. He did seem like a nice guy, and, judging by the weapons that he carried, probably an adept fighter too. Sora wasn't about to apologise though.
"You guys telling Sora about the Troll?" Cordus said, "Showing souvineers? I wish I had gotten souvineers, man. Like, the teeth or something. But all I got from it was a nasty smell." Sora chuckled quietly. Cordus pulled out a lute, and started strumming odd notes, Sora found the music relaxing, and she realised she was enjoying the company. She wasn't used to being around people in the wilderness, as she generally travelled alone. She thought she would find travelling with others irritating, but she found that it was, in fact, the complete opposite.
Cordus then turned his attention to Sora. "And what about you guys? You guys get up to anything interesting?"
Sora shrugged, "We sorta sat in the snow for a while, until this herd of massive deer came along. I've never seen them before, the females even have antlers. Anyway, I managed to get an older one, which is sitting in pieces over there," She gestured over at the meat, which was sitting next to the fire, "Hjolifur captured two of the things, and I assume Nathaniel caught something. The one I got managed to give me a bit of a roughing up though," Sora chuckled, and patted the bruise on her stomach.
Trannigan then said something to Cordus that Sora didn't understand, something about red flowers, when an elegant figure emerged from the tent a few metres away. He walked with a cane, and a confident air. This must be the rich guy, Sora thought a little scornfully as he strutted over in her direction. Don't be rude, don't be rude, don't be rude, She told herself. She didn't much care for people like him, that carted around servants and a flash tent on an expedition through an ancient, lost city. But she figured that he couldn't be as bad as other nobles she'd met, as he'd offered everyone a meal.
He nodded at the three other men before clearing his throat. "My name is Orlando Wrex and I'm very please to make your acquaints." Orlando bowed, and Sora resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Motioning to Juhanor, he said, "Our friend here advised me to come and meet the members of the group. I'm pleased to see that your hunt was successful and if there is anything me or my servants can do to help, please let me know."
Sora inclined her head. "Hey there, my name's Sora. Sora Llatharyn. Pleased to meet you," She said, trying to keep the sarcasm out of her voice. She hoped he didn't notice, as she knew that any bitter feelings would hinder the group's progress to Saarthal. Deep down, Sora knew that this experience was going to be life-changing.
