first think sorry for my bad spelling and if their is already such a topic but i coulnt find 1

oke i made thise topic as i saw many people didnt like the lack of political matters etc etc and that in oblivion to few freedom in faction war or a to much freemdom with 2 guilds that should be at war fighter guild VS Dark bortherhood Dark brother hood VS thieves guild and still could join them all

now my topic doesnt realy gos on thise matter if it was wrong or right or whatever but more about what factons you like to see in Elderscroll V that are at war

you also can add new factions that you think would end up good in elderscroll V like redoran rebelions VS skyrim defenders or someting
just like to see what the majorety of people come up with =3

It may work. I'd just be happy that if the had numerous guilds that were openly against eachother like Blackwood and Fighters guilds in OB than 1) you should have a choice and 2) it would affect more greatly how people react to you. Some members of the public would back the opposing guild and say certain shop ownwers wouldn't serve you etc.

Well, if a guild must have an anthagonist, I agree that you should be given a choice which side you will take. Without it, it leads to Oblivion's depiction of "good" vs. "evil" which is silly and childish. But I also think that not every guild needs and oposing guild. It is rather tiring havig quest like "Oh save the guild form this-and-that", you should be more in the trade of the guild and not just saving it from an incoming menace (yes, I am ranting about Oblivion mages' guild mainly here).

yeeeeeaaahhh that's probably not gonna happen...it would be nice to join a fight between two(or more) guilds, but i don't think gamesas is willing to step on mmorpg's turf...

edit: unless zanimax online will actually make an mmo in the world of tes;)

no nesassary save all the guild every time but more like in morrowind with the great houses like you got a quest to conquer a surtant building from telvanni
and if your telvanni you got the quest to defend it

Morrowind had a few cases of faction conflicts. Any of the three great houses for example would not let you join if you were part of another great house, and while you could join both factions, some Fighters Guild quests conflict with Thieves Guild interests (i.e. giving you orders to kill Thieves Guild members.) but in these cases. It made sense for there to be conflicts between factions in these cases, and that is just it. Bethesda shouldn't make two factions be at war just because it's fun or because of silly RPG cliches that try to confine the options available for different stereotypes. And if two factions are going to be at war you should be able to join either side. Maybe the Fighters Guild and Mages Guild questlines in Oblivion would have looked less like a battle between a force of pure good and stereotypical mustache twirling villians if you were actually able to see the other side's perspective. Of course, it goes without saying that in these cases, the questlines should conflict.

well i agree their shoulnt be a war just plain that but with a deeprstory behind it like what you said about the fighter guild get quest of killing thieves guild members but just because
Spoiler
the fighter guild had corupted members their only the 1 in ald ruin was the pritty much the pure 1 but their were corupted by the commun toung and if you either wree fighter guild or thieves guild you ended up trying to sholve hat problem in their own way
but i like such storys like these and those of the house wars i realy missed that in oblivion it just handnt the feeling in it there i think

I'd like to return to mutually exclusive factions and factions with complete and utter disdain for one another. I can only think of Daggerfall, when the Mages' Guild charged my character with higher spell prices than usual because they didn't like the School of Julianos. Or how certain nobles would send assassins after you after failing to do their bidding. I want that kind of excitement back.
