Do this every level but change the Mobs you have to kill

At level 14

"Hey Traveler, I've been making Ultra Jet, and I need are 12 Deathclaws Hands and 17 Feral Ghoul Eyes, say if you bring me back
20 Deathclaw Hands and 15 Feral Ghoul Eyes I'll give you 5 Ultra Jets"

How do people keep falling for this shallow crap and keep playing games like that?

Because the gameplay is fun.

MMO's svck because of grind, and I refuse to play them.

In a single player game, you're King Arthur or Lancelot or Gwenyver. Being the main character can be really fun... Everything revolves around you.

In an MMO, you're a Knight of the Round Table. There's an aspect of being part of the team that rocks too. Part of a world with an economy and politics and shifting circles of friends.

I lasted about 2 months with World of Warcraft and then realized, I'm just killing X amount of Mobs for quets and nothing more.

No matter what level, "Go kill 4 of these, and 9 of these"

It got boring as heck

100% sure its going to svck just as much as the rest of them.

I used to play MMOs for the community more than anything. I think of MMOs as three-dimensional interactive chat rooms with RPG elements.

Other players play it because they can easily prove their manliness by killing pixels faster than other players.

Those are generally the only reasons to play MOST MMOs, because the gameplay is always sub-par compared to single-player games.

I thought it was Interplay's project. Unless EA somehow bought it, which would svck.

besides, you can't know that it will be a grind until you play it. The one issue I can see with it is the Fallout world, at least back on the West Coast, isn't crowded. At all. And lots of people running around would kinda ruin that.

6 hours of WoW (which tbh I think Xfire counted my updating...)

22 of FFXI (my co-worker got me a free trial and I did not want to seem unkind, again though I think Xfire is counting my time updating.)

I have 1,700+ in Guild Wars but that is something somewhat different. Since I spent the majority of time PvP'ing. (which never required kill X of this or any of those stupid time sinks)



I did play PlanetSide , but again, nothing MMO's about that besides the amount of people who are playing.

I doubt I would like any MMO that comes out anytime soon, to many companies will try to capture the "WoW Magic" and will be releasing nearly identical games.

I will stick with my shooters and fallout. (and guitar hero ofc ;p I can play Xpert!!)

I mostly play MMOs for Roleplaying. ATM I only play SWG. Though WAR has far less grind then most MMOs so I do tend to play that as well. Hell with WAR you can get to the max level (40) through PVP alone, which is beautiful.

Did you start playing SWG before or after the NGE change?

Sadly no... I started about 3 years ago, shortly after "The Trials of Obi-Wan" came out...so basicly, about maybe a couple weeks after the NGE... I guess that's a good thing though... I didn't experiance the REAL game, so the new one is okay

I actually enjoyed Warcraft a great deal pre BC. The expansion really killed it for me. I would so play again if they released a server with classic AV so I could have my 19 hour matches.

Anyways yeah this is not new news by any means, also still far to early to tell what will come of it.

I wish EA would stick to sports games only...
